Comment:

Her class just wasnt structured very well. We had readings due each class along with annotations, but you are lucky if you even get to discuss the reading within the last 10 minutes of class. It seemed like a waste of time. If you are taking it just for a humanities credit it was fine because she never really checked your work. But pointless class

She is the most boring teacher ever. She speaks in a low monotone voice so it's hard to hear and pay attention to her. She goes off topic too much, and is unprepared for lessons. Don't bother reading the stories in her short stories class. She doesn't bother to check homework unless it is an essay to turn in. She's a waste of time.

Easy A! Her voice is monotonous so it is difficult to pay attention for long periods of time but she gives great feedback on essays and there is not much homework after the first couple of weeks. A decent amount of time is spent preparing for essays and she is a lot of help when you ask before turning an essay in. Content is a bit dull

Highly recommend taking Professor Tamer! Easiest English class I have ever taken. She is very nice and wants the best for her students. I do not remember having to take any tests. Overall, one of the best English classes I have taken.

Funny, knowledgeable, and understanding. You will become a better writer after taking her class. She gets that 'things happen', and that there are times when you cannot make it to class. She will keep you informed of assignments, and she stimulates class discussion. Love her!

Dr. Tamer is such a sweet person and even though some of the exercises in class may seem elementary, they have actually improved my writing. She isn't a hard grader and willing to help. Class can get a little slow and boring at times but very little homework besides essays. English is probably my least favorite subject but I don't mind this class.

Good teacher, she is very helpful on papers, but harsh on grammar so if you are bad at that then get a tutor. Lots of group projects helps make the class more fun and interactive.Go to class and do the work and you'll be fine. BTW there was no text book requiered for this class mostly poems and short stories.

Dr. Tamer is a great professor. She is very nice and helpful, both in and outside of the classroom. If you take her for 230, be prepared for a group presentation that spans over two class periods and is 25% of your grade. If you take her for 230, do not hesitate to ask her help on homework assignments - she's great help!

Had her for American Lit, Business Writing, & Hist and Structure. GREAT teacher. I don't think I could have learned parts of speech better from anyone. Very sweet woman as well. She's like the funky kindergarden teacher. Go to class, do the itty bitty homeworks, and be nice and you'll love her. She also gave me great grad school help. Befriend early, recommendation letters later.

I had Dr. Tamer for the first half of the fall Semester 05. I loved it. She was funny and encouraged discussion. The exams were tough but easily studied for. I was very sad to have a sub take her place when she had to have surgery.

Dr. Tamer is one of the best teachers I've had so far. She is always making you laugh at her but it makes the class more interestin. I dont find her grading on papers that hard, as long as you put the effort in you should be fine.
