Comment:

She was amazing!! Super funny and got me in a group with people Im still friends with. Showed a lot of really funny movies and wasnt test heavy. We wrote journals, made posters and had a lot of group fun. Definitely would take her if youre shy and want to be a better public speaker. Take her!

I know many people didn't like her in class but those were the students that never showed up to class. If you show up and actually READ the syllabus then you'll have a clear understanding of what is due. Very sweet teacher and allows late work. Not very organized but if you do the work, which ISN'T much, you'll pass. Easy A!

Dont do it! At the end of the semester she just guessed your grade based on what she thought you deserved. She did not keep track of your assignments so there was no way to know what your grade in the class was. She did not respond to any of my emails. If you enjoy structure don't take this class Its a waste of time.

Your grade in this class will simply depend on what mood she is in when she's grading. She doesn't even know assignments she made. She changes assignments w/ zero notification, she's contradicting, unwilling to discuss mistakes she made, placing blame on the student. We watched youtube videos in class 1/2 the time (unrelated to school entirley).

Graded based on a few assignments. Very rarely follows the syllabus. Doesn't use blackboard well. Lets class out early most days (1-1.5 hrs early). Is unreachable by email. Has cancelled 4 classes out of 16. Has very poor communication skills. Gets classes attention by raising volume of jeopardy music until we all look at her. I could go on...

Naomi Young should not be a teacher. She is unorganized, sends one word emails with no subject (Literally had one with just numbers), and doesn't post on blackboard. The syllabus is a joke and you will not follow it at all. I would highly recommend you drop within the first 2 weeks if you are unsure of this class because it only gets worse. 1/10

Ms. Young is very nice, however she made communication 120 difficult. It is hard already to take a class in summer, but with a professor who is prepared and stays to a strict schedule any class is set up for success. She was too quiet, digressed between topics, and didn't have a well structured schedule :(

I would not advise anyone to take this class. Prof. Young is a very caring person but the class was just awful. She hardly taught, the class consisted of the students talking over her. Project was very unclear. I had absolutely no idea what the project entailed. her and the students talked through your presentation so it didn't even matter. Justbad

I love this class. One of the easiest classes I've ever taken. Gave a speech that was half the time that was required and still got a 95%. Don't feel like going to class? No problem! Don't like talking in front of people? No problem, just give your speech on the first day speeches start and you'll get an A. I would definitely recommend this class!

She is really nice person, and kind of helpful if you talk to her cuz she doesn't mind to give you extra credits. But she seems that she lost my documents tons of times. She doesnt email me back at all no matter how I need it. she doesnt talk about the topic which is gonna be on exams at all. Not good teacher that much. Better not take her class.

DO NOT take this professor if you want to actually learn about group communication. Take this class if you want an easy B because that may be the best you can get since she gives you a syllabus that she completely ignores and changes. She also changed her tests from being essay style to multiple choice.

Very unorganized and unclear on material needed to be studied for the quizzes. She's a very nice person though, and seems to care about the students. A lot of glossary studying led me to an A. Take good notes (overhead) and use the study guide. Also, a lot of movies...made it kind of relaxed in class. Overall a fun and easy class.
