Extremely smart and helpful professor. Keeps students engaged with the material (not easy to do w/ engineering) and has an awesome latin accent. Downright sexy.

Comment:
Depaola should not be an advisor, she is either too busy or doesn't care enough (or both). It's almost impossible to get in touch with her and even harder to setup a meeting. The first time I did manage to setup a meeting she didn't show up, although does know what she's talking about. Lorrie Citarella is the person to go to, she's wonderful.

Not a hard class...just time consuming. Assigns quite a lot of papers to review and homework on material not really covered in class. She seems to think that we have had a class on mass transport already. There was also a presentation. A fairly easy A if your willing to put in the time.

Comment:
Dr. DePaola, although not always understandable or available, was someone that encouraged the advance of the BME profession. She was into Vascular Endothelial research and she still sponsored me and two other classmates for a project in orthopaedic biomechanics ... just because we were interested. Dr. De Paola is someone that we need in our field. Enocuraging every step of the way and not afraid to encourage a project that may be out of the scope of the curriculum she was teaching.

Comment:
Very unhelpful. Impossible to get ahold of or talk to and is always late to meetings if she shows up as well. Is intelligent, but does too much to do anything well.
