Comment:

the absolute best way to take his class is to do the homework on your own and ask questions in class on the homework. He gives lectures on the chapters themselves but you need to do your own study to pass the class, the thing is that while he may not walk you through the chapters he gives ample time and opportunity to ask him questions.

Hes.... special. I wouldnt say hes bad but hes hard to follow personally. He skips all over the place, for example were in chapter 2 and hes talking about things in chapter 6. Hes very high energy and repeats the phrases this will wipe you out during the test if you dont get it and BOOM if you didnt do that you got it wrong.

Very good at discouraging students. Do math his way or wont pass. 4 tests. No teaching plan. He introduced a NEW chapter in 5 mins after the lastclass was over. He does this quite a lot but his response was well I guess youll have to spend 3 hours at home figuring this out. If you're looking for a professor, hes not it. Hope he changes.

Professor Baker stated on the first day of class " if you think I'm going to sit hear and teach you, you are wrong." He literally assignst homework on stuff he has never taught, and says to ask questions in class. No lesson plan. noithig. He often says that if this stuff doesn't come naturally to you, give up now. I've never felt so discouraged.

Okay so Trig is obviously not the easiest class but if you actually want to learn the material because you need it later on in calc 1 and 2 then take Baker. He has helped relive some stress by knowing most of the trig functions and their derivatives by heart . Awesome guy and great teacher. Lots of passion. You can't bs your way through math class.

Unfortunately this is by far the worse experience I've had in a course. I felt very discouraged in this class. In addition, the professor delivers only 3 major tests for the entire semester consisting of 10 questions each. He teaches one or two problems in class and the rest is book work. If you are considering taking this prof, please beware.

If you like order and organization when it comes to learning, avoid this man like the plague. Ive had to teach myself several chapters of information because he argues that it is personal and that one has to teach it to themselves.. I feel like hes a very lazy teacher. Teaches what he wants when he wants doesnt matter. Would not recommend.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR, if you are not the best at math avoid this professor at all cost. his favorite quote is " if you do not plan on advancing in math then you should not be here". Extremely discouraging , lecture heavy, and practical mocks you if you don't know something saying you should know this already even if its new material.

The only grades in this class are tests. He likes the work to be very neat and very specific. To study for the tests he just tells you to do all of the problems in the textbook until they only take 5 minutes to do. About 15 questions per test. Very good at explaining concepts and very passionate about math.

I really liked taking calc 2 with him because he goes over a lot of the basic stuff you may have forgotten from previous courses, whereas other proffesors dont. I find him to be very practical, homework is not turned in, all the problems from the test come from the book. gives extra credit, if you practice youll do great, i found this course easy

His classes are not a piece of cake. If you are not a math person then i wouldnt recommend him. He knows his stuffs really well, i have no doubt with that. But transferring the knowledge to students is his problem.

Tough, but fair. Professor Baker is extraordinarily enthusiastic about math. Bring any question to him, and he'll fully explain how to work it out. That said, the onus is on you to do the work and pass. If you don't do the homework, you won't pass, because you're not going to have the tools. That's the mistake I made.

This professors class is an example of: If you study hard, the class is easy. In his Trig class, attendance was not counted, home works were not included, and pop quizzes don't exist. There are only 4 graded tests in his class. The tests are short but difficult, and second chances are not given. Opitional bonus exercises included (5points each)

He's not a bad guy. He's the most passionate out of all my profs when it comes to teaching. However, it's his classroom polices that will literally kill you. Only 4 tests are given, You better for the better of humanity not slack off on any of them. The final was far from fair. There were stuff we were never taught and told not to learn on there

proffessor baker is a math wizard. He is super passionate about teaching and you will feel the impact. You will feel a lot of pressure and a lot of expectations but once you do all the homework accordingly and master every question he gives you in the book you will be fine. It's hard not to fall in love with his charisma and energy.
