"FackDaddy" is super personable and loves chemistry. He speaks slower than the other professor and can tell when you're confused. He loves when you go in for help and he will probably give good insights on life too. This class is a lot of math. They have to chem in class & expect you to know math. Go to math tutoring if you struggle with algebra.

I have taken two different courses with Dr. Fackler and have had zero troubles. Yes, chemistry can be difficult for some but if you pay attention in his class, you will do fine. He does have a dry sense of humor which is better than none! Fackler is a very intelligent man but does a great job about "dumbing down" the concepts .

Dr. Fackler is an excellent professor. He made general chem a breeze and has an incredibly funny but dry sense of humor. Those who have detailed they have problems with him, I have had none and he has been incredibly helpful and overall an excellent class. I can't wait to take more classes from him!

You need to like chemistry to do well in chemistry. The ratings here for Gen Chem are probably from people who thought "I took Chem in high school, so taking it again will be an easy A." You're in university now, at the top liberal arts university in Nebraska. Fackler treats you like you should belong to such a highly esteemed university.

Told me and 2 other students we were too dumb for college the second week of school. Ask for an explanation get a 10 minute dissertation on a subject "you won't have to know"

FLAT OUT AWESOME. THE driest sense of humor I have ever encountered. He just deadpans 'em right past you with a microscopic smirk on his face. Great teacher too. Sometimes, it's like he explains TOO much.
