Comment:

A nice professor. We have a 40 points short essay assignment almost every week during the semester, and it's quite easy to earn the full points if you answer it correctly. 4 exams during the semester and it's online. Only final (no notes) need to take it in-class, and it is not hard. Basically, it follow the study guides he provide for every tests.

I hated the group project. He makes you think that he is going to give an easy A but he will grade toughly randomly. Be aware but, overall easy class.

Comment:

He is a cool guy, but it seemed like his outside life influenced his mood in class. You don't really NEED a textbook but it helps. The quizes can really hurt your grade if you don't pay attention in class, but the final is super easy. There are written letters online throughout the class that basically base your grade in the class .

Comment:

I had Nate for Marketing and then for Business Communication. Marketing was so easy that it made it hard to take him serious for BUS 128. He is a very knowledgeable guy and his class is pretty entertaining. Some of the skills I learned in this class are coming in handy now that I am applying to transfer and looking for a job.

Comment:

Nate can be a tough grader though he's happy to answer any questions you might have on assignments. He offers a lot (seriously) of extra credit so you really have to try to get a bad grade in his class. 8 HW assignments & final all online (mini-research papers) + 20 minute group presentation. A challenging class but worth it! Doesn't use textbook.

Professor Scharff was great! He is super easy going and if you do the work the class is easy. There are a lot of group assignments including group quizzes and a project but as long as you participate it should be pretty straight forward. You need the book for writing assignments like resume and cover letter and it helps to keep it for work.

Fun teacher, but he is kind of scatter brained when it comes to his lectures. His quizes (which aren't a huge part of your grade) come from the book, but he doesn't discuss which chapters. None of his quizes were over anything he discussed in class. Otherwise tho, an easy going guy. He works with you on late assignments. Participate and get an A.

Nate breaks things down in a way relevant for you to understand it. He has been there and done that, and wants you to gain the skills needed to go out and do it for yourself. One of the best professors I've had. Look forward to staying in touch with him as a business mentor when needed. Attend all classes and an A is easy. Cheers!

Group projects is a big part... I learned A TON from this class... He's somewhat unorganized and loses mixes stuff up... But MORE than willing to fix it when you show him so keep back ups!! Plus he's an attractive surfer dude ;)

He's a really good teacher! I understand the material and he makes it clear. One thing I like is that he shows examples on what he is teacher.. he doesn't just throw it at you The thing I DISLIKE is we have had to work in group projects... I'm not a fan of group projects at all

Get ready to work on your own. Tons of onlinein class assignments. Spent the first 8 weeks revising the syllabus and has the weirdest curve ever (only for people who got (600-700) they received a C but no curve for the others. You will need the learning smart code ($60) plus the text book. Less than %50 who passed the class after the curve.

Easy A. Textbook isn't needed for quizzes. Take notes and old lectures are available online (might not be the same as seen in class but still provide the needed material). This class was pretty easy. His lectures are clear and simple, but his projects can be lengthy, but he can clarify any confusion you have. Go to class he does grade on participation. Very straightforward.
