Dr. Strenth is very understanding/caring towards the success of his students. He goes over everything you need to know for exams, as long as you study and pay attention, you will do well. Very amicable guy, talks alot in lectures some seems off topic but everything he says is going to be on the exam. Take notes.

Class is fairly easy. Light studying is needed to make an A on the exams. Only recommend taking because it's an easy A. Just show up and pay attention. However his lectures get off topic all the time and he starts talking about his opinion or a personal story, which is kinda annoying. Lectures are also difficult to hear because of his soft voice.

Dr. Strenth is a pretty good professor overall. I took his Bio 1409 Man and the Environment class at 8:00am MWF. Dr. Strenth isn't the most enthusiastic when he lectures but the material is very interesting. You only have four grades in this class and they're all exams. Exams count for 75% of your grade with you lab counting for the other 25%.

His lectures are long and often off topic. He makes snide comments about his students in the middle of class. His tests are a combination of lecture, slides, and off handed comments. His labs aren't explained well and when you ask for help and you want to check something you annotate it on the worksheet and he still counts it wrong. Worst ever

Expects a lot out of his students because of how much effort he puts into the learning outcomes of his students. He make himself available during office hours, answers any questions thoroughly, and makes sure his students understands each concept.

Dr. Strenth is hilarious and the material we covered was very interesting. He is straight forward on his tests, which are multiple choice. I would study several hours for his exams and use the SI reviews. Also, be on time for class or he counts you absent.

If you go to the SI sessions before the tests you will receive enough information that you don't really need a book considering only a few questions on the test come from it. You also need to study for his recommended 8-10 hours for each test to make an A or B.

I took Dr. Strenth's class just for my core science credit and it was very easy. You don't use the book; all of his lectures are on a power-point, which is good because Strenth speaks very quietly and is hard to understand most of the time... even with a microphone. There's only 4 tests so make sure you take good notes.

Dr. Strenth is one of the best profs I have ever had. He genuinely cares about his pupils learning, and praises those who show a personal interest in grasping what he has to teach. He will work with you on anything, and is to the point about what he expects from you. Goofiest old man I have ever met, too. He's soft spoken, but still talks a lot!!

I have taken him for 4 advanced bio classes and he is awesome! yes, it is true that you should sit in front because he is soft spoken. He is a great man and a good professor. Very understanding and cares more about what you are actually learning than what you are making on tests. For advanced bio classes, be prepared to be in the field!!

Had him for lab. He is soft spoken so it's hard to hear when he's giving lectures. He also drags on lecture, so there's always a shortage of time on completing classwork. Someone else grades; she's tough. She'll count off for everything. Everyone complains about how its impossible to make an A. Don't take him.

Dr. Strenth's class by far has been my favorite class so far. He is so straight forward and will tell you exactly what is on the exam. GO TO CLASS and take your notes & you will do fine. He is very willing to help. I missed a whole week of classes & he worked with me. He is hard to hear so sit up front! His class is great! very, very clear!

I'm not sure why this professor has such a high rating. His class is okay but he is rude. He tells the class over and over again that alot of them will not pass. He also says "ok" so much that it is hard to pay attention to him. Also one day I walked in and was sick and he made me sit in the back by my self! Where is could not here him.

He is so funny! It is hard to hear him, so sit in first three rows, but his tests are STRAIGHT from class notes and maybe 6 questions each test from book. He tells you what to study. Must attend class to pass. Take notes and STUDY at least 5 hours for each test YOU WILL DO FINE. He is funny and wants students to succeed that deserve it!

Strenth is a humorous teacher! He keeps the class interesting. Tests are easy if you take all the notes, few questions that can from the textbook. Easy to talk to one on one. Cares about his students. Recommended to those who like to learn!

I have taken this professor for multiple classes. He really cares about his students on an individual level, and if you show potential, he will take you on research projects. His classes are very entertaining with multiple field trips. Somewhat softspoken but tells very interesting stories. His classes hold some of my best memories at ASU.
