Nena taught my first class at York since I was a transfer student. Her personal story of her battle with a clorine allergy was touching and unforgettable to me. It was an amazing story of her own battle with doctors and the urgency for us to question any diagnosis they provide. She would have died 30 years ago if she had not done exactly that!!!!

This was the worst prof of all that I had in my first year! She doesn't know how to manage time in class, she jumps all over the place and does not concentrate on one topic, but on everything at one time, it's really hard to keep yourself interested during the lecture and not fall asleep. Useless lectures! Useless prof!

as a teacher/lecturer, i liked her very much. has a genuine intrest in material she talks about and the knowledge to back it up. shes a hard marker though and so is the T.A. 'Gary'. her lectures also tend to jump all over the place sometimes, referencing random things that come to her mind. some might find that annoying but it kept me interested!

Very friendly prof, although slightly absent-minded. Doable assignments. However, assignments marked by her TA, Gary. Watch out for him as he's a tough marker and rarely changes grades. Quite a bit of reading, but interesting class overall.

AWSOME PROF. HER LECTURES ARE VERY INTERESTING ALWAYS LETS YOU OUR EARLY AND HARDLY NO WORK JUST SOME READING. HER TA "GARY" WAS EXTREMLY RUDE AND NOT APPROACHABLE AND MARKED PAPERS UNREASONABLY. BUT FOR NENA I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HER AGAIN AS MY PROF. VERY EASY CLASS TO PASS. MOVIES WERE ALRIGHT KIND OF BORING. BUT JUST DO THE MOVIE REVIEWS AND YOU

She's a pretty good prof and she's fair in marking. The only problem I have with the course is that T.A. of hers. I hated how he marked the three assignments. I think his name is Gary.

A very good professor - thoroughly concise and a very genuine person. Definitely learned alot from this course! Watch out for that Gary "guy." (Hint: talk to him after you receive your papers!)
