At 36 y/o I needed a social science class to finish my degree. Took online micro. You have to study hard and apply critical thinking to pass the tests. I made an A, but worked for it. I see people complaining about prof. Welcome to the real world. Dr. Tran is good because she makes you earn your grade. If you failed, YOU FAILED YOURSELF.

Took class online. You use the Aplia website to do weekly assignments; it tells you exactly what is due each week. You must read the chapters to do the assignments. I took her class over the summer and it was definately a work load! It was five weeks worth of reading everyday...but as long as you read and do your APLIA homework, you won't have a problem. You just have to keep up with the reading. FYI: I am taking her for Fall in a 16-week course and its 100 times EASIER! So don't do summer if you can't!!

I took her online class, so I havent had the same experience as others have had with her. i emailed to ask her about the test and told her I was scared because of these reviews, and she responded nicely. The test was easy 50 question multiple choice that you have 1 hour and 20 mins to complete. EASY ONLINE! TAKE THIS ONLINE COURSE-YOU WONT BE SORRY

You have to understand her level of sarcasm, which is VERY high. She's not easy, but if you show interest and make an effort she will help you out. She WILL make an example of you if you give wrong answers, but I didn't mind. I NEVER made the same mistake twice! Overall I liked her style, and she's very cool when talking to her outside of class.

Dr Tran is a heartless human. She lets her own brother to work at Mcdonald's earning minimum wage while she's driving a Lexus and a Mercedes. Bottom line, if she's that cold to her own blood, what do you think how she will treat you? Yeap, you're just a number and she won't hesitate to fail you so you have to cough up more $$ for her classes!!

This professor is the rudest I've had so far. She does not explain the material and is difficult to understand. The tests are ridiculously hard and she will not help if you ask. Instead she calls you "stupid" in front of the class...trust me, that's from experience. I would not reccommend her at all.

I see that someone gave Tran a 3 for easiness? Are we being punk'd? ASHTON, where you at? Do not take Dr. Tran! She is the hardest teacher you will ever take. Even though you read the chapters twice...you will struggle to make an A in the class. Yes, it's DR. Tran, and she won't let you forget about the DR. part!

Very nice person, though she is rather sarcastic which can be mistaken as being rude. She expects you to read the chapters at least twice for each exam and picks rather complicated questions. There is a lot of memorization so be prepared.

HORRIBLE! I attempted this class as a Mini and on the first day she told us to set 3hrs per day aside for reading the text. I made a low grade on the first test and she told me to drop. Luckily I took her advice. She has a heavey accent and is hard to understand. She expects everyone to live, eat, and breath economics.

This woman sucked! If you are in her class, you better be prepared to read the material in the book a good three times before you take the test! She is incredibily hard, not to mention, MEAN! I've never done so horrible in a class until I met her. Trust me...over 3/4 of the class dropped her by the 2nd week. Save yourself!
