AVOID this online course. He does no teaching. You sit at home & teach yourself statistics. All he has is a 1page typeout for each chapter and a PowerPoint- no active discussion etc.He didn't answer the e-mail I sent him. Helps marginally w/ homework. Gives you 14 problems & makes them due in a few days. He just emails homework when he wants.

Took this over Summer, never had him before for any class besides this. Turned out to be 1 of my favorite teachers! He's an Excellent teacher, and is fair in grading-make sure you put forth an honest effort though. He's willing to make time to answer questions and offer assistance before and after class.

Hard class. Only 3 tests, and 10 quizes. Drops lowest 2 quizes. You MUST study for his tests because they are extremely difficult. Class is very boring. Walks in, starts lecturing right away till the end of class. If you study you can get by with a B, if you study very hard you can get an A.

Dr. Ford knows what he's talking about and very much takes the book lingo and explains it in a way that you would have difficulty teaching yourself. At the start of the semester, I was having difficulty understanding him, so I took to teaching myself a little. That worked for some things, but nothing can replace being in class and focusing.

Excellent in and out of class. Great professor to talk to. Willing to answer any questions as long as you are willing to ask them. Can't wait to have him again with the exception of the class being Diff. Eq. Ha Ha.

Dr Ford is extreemly knowledgeable in Math and CS. Not only that but he knows how to relate it to the students. Very good lecturer, excellent examples. He does expect you to put some work in to get your A. He treats his classes like actual college classes, not grade shcool classes. No easy A's here, but the work is rewarding.

This guy is a joke, he writes small so you can't see when you get stuck in the back of the room and then stands in front of what he writes, he talks lightly. Not very clear at all. I had no idea what was going on after 2 weeks so I had to drop the class...Now I'm taking it elsewhere and doing fine.

He's technically a math and comp sci prof. He's a fair teacher, but don't expect an easy ride. I liked how he conducted the class. Showed us how to do the problems, do some, go over them. Very little homework.
