I had no problem with this professor until the strike happened. This professor is the epitome of not caring for the student. Lack of honesty, and will threaten to lower your grade if you do not comply to his guidelines of "appropriate communication." Though he is somewhat reasonable, he is hard to communicate with. I strongly suggest to avoid him.

He's often late to class. Heavy accent, hard to understand. He gets off topic often, talks about his day, coffee, anything but required material. Says you do not need expensive text book then uses book for exams questions. It's VERY UNFORTUNATE that many many of the IT Profs do not take teaching IT seriously. It's a side job! Students lose!

He is a good professor. He is always late, his exams are extremely long, but if you study and listen in class, you should be fine. He is a very fair marker and is willing to help you if need be. He cracks jokes sometimes which I appreciated.. given that most professors are so uptight. I enjoyed his classes even though his lectures are long.

EXTREMELY HARD COURSE...AVOIDDDD AT ALL COSTS!!!! This guy expects far too much as it takes weeks to finish each of his assignments! HAVE TO BE DEDICATED. EXAM and Midterm FULL OF SURPRISES!!! Be careful and AVOID

AVOIDDDDD at all costs. This is a VERY HARD prof who EXPECTS A LOT. Midterms and Exam are full of surprises on stuff not covered and ALL ASSIGNMENTS take extremely long to finish! And this is from a guy who has years of programming experience! FULL OF TRICKS, AVOIDDDD!!!!

stay away from him. always always late and said he cannot make it to the class on time. Actually even asked students to provide their cell phone incase he is late, he will call 1 or 2 students so that they can tell the rest of the class that the guy is gonna be LATE.

Always late and leaving early are his style of teaching. His slides and classes were full of nonsense, so we had to learn php from w3schools for the assignment. He is VERY lazy. He blames the TAs for not providing him with the marks when its nearly end of semester. During lecture, he tells us what he will teach, but NEVER actually teaches it. AVOID

Horrible teacher, the worst I've come across yet at York! Can not teach J2EE, b/c does not understand much himself. Spent almost entire lecture on explaining path structure within Windows instead of sticking to subject matter relevant to course. Gives 1 hour to do an exam 2 hours long. No feedback, lazy, biased, slow marker.. etc. Avoid!!!

He takes a while to post marks for the assignment (i.e. it's January now and still no marks for 3/4 of the assignments completed). Quick email response time, needs to work on creating a lesson plan better (few classes he wasn't sure what to discuss). Hard to reach just after class & I lost the drive to fully pay attention in the class eventually.
