Professor Courtright is one of my favorite professors @ Amherst. Her lectures are hilarious and interesting. But beware, she will tell you at the beginning of the year that she DOES NOT GIVE OUT A'S and based on experience she doesn't. She will tear your essays apart. Even if you're an excellent writer, you're in for a surprise.

Women and Art in Early Modern Europe. Lots of reading, a 10-15 page research paper at the end, and a couple of shorter papers. Definitely not an easy class. But she's awesome, really passionate about what she teaches, loved her class and learned a lot from her feedback and meeting with her. Part of the reason why I became an Art History major.
