I don't recommend taking this class online, it is heavy on material and her exams are hard. It may seem like an easy class at the beginning but it's not.

Not sure I get other reviews. Weekly quizzes are easy. Never read lectures. Went straight to quiz and searched lectures for answer. 3 attempts to get 7/10 or higher. Monopoly assignment is stupid, but an easy A if you actually do it. Movie review also super easy. Took this for a random online elective. It was an easy with almost no effort.

Should have read this before taking her class. Class is 85% useless busy work. Quizzes are absurd, gives a 0 if you make less than 7 of 10. Teaches an online course like it was on campus. Monopoly assignment is boring, tedious, and time consuming.

This professor is by far one of the worst that i have ever had at UNT. I am a straight A student and was given a D on both projects in the class, even though I completed the assignments and directly followed the rubrics. She assigns a ton of busy work and the tests are EXTREMELY difficult. Do NOT take this class! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Excellent, thought provoking disasters class. The course is set up very well for the online format. Do your work on time and you will do well in this class. A couple of extra chances were presented to earn extra credit that was easy to complete.

Comment:

Disasters class is very interesting. No textbook needed, she provides online reading material. The class is not easy, but it is not hard. You have to put in effort as with any college course. Exam review for tests and mostly everything on tests comes from it. Easy to follow syllabus and she responds to emails quickly.Def recommend!

I took collective behavior class online. She gives you couple of extra credit opportunities, and quizzes every week which is not a big deal. Her exam is extremely hard to make over 90, so you better not miss any extracredit and quizzes.

She overloads you with busy work and while the weekly quizzes are not so bad the Tests HARD. I got A's on all the assignments and quizzes, I am a A student graduating with honors this May and her tests are extremely hard no matter how much you studied. I would not suggest this class, this my second class with her and they were the same.

Dr. Dash is chaotic, the subject matter was interesting but it was an overload of busy work and unnecessary projects. A paper would've sufficed. Her test were not idfficult but to be times and have multiple questions in one questions was a bit much.

I LOVED THIS CLASS. She made it very interesting and fun. The test can be a little tricky but you get to do fun assignments and papers. I would def. recommend her, she's great!

If you do not like working on group projects that are worth a sizable portion of your grade, then don't take this course. Honestly, with projects that boring I think she's experimenting with blind studies to see the effects of social loafing in groups. Other than that, she's fair, albeit her lectures are long-winded and circular in reasoning.

Dr. Dash is simply amazing. She's been my instructor for Collective Behavior, SOCI of Sexuality, and SOCI of Disaster. If you attend class, take notes, and read the textbook you will do great in her classes. If you are not a serious student, she will not take you seriously. I've made an A in all her classes.

I enjoy this class. It's a mixed course that is half lecture half online modules. If you are good at keeping up with your schoolwork this class should be easy. She want you to succeed and make her lectures and learning modules easy to understand and follow. She knows a lot about this subject.

Had this class online and it was very interesting. She gives you 5 tries to take it to get a perfect score. The tests are a little stressful but are ok if you have read your material. The topics are very interesting, so it is easy to pay attention and participate.

Dash is one of the best professors I've ever had (and trust me, I've had some bad ones)! I currently have her for Disasters and it is very interesting. Take her if you get the chance. You must show up for class, take notes and READ! The class is NOT difficult if you do what is expected of you. Dash rocks!!
