Easy A class. Grade depends on 4 labs and 10 tests only. The first lab is way too easy like free credit. The other three labs are fine. 10 tests are way too easy. All the questions come from the textbook. Respond to emails very fast. No group project. Discussion board is optional (online class). Remember the deadline is usually NOON, NOT midnight.

Awful teacher. He acts like you're bothering him any time you send him an email. He literally does nothing, the whole course is automated, but when you have a question about something, it's as if you just asked him to break his back for you. The class is 100% teach yourself, if you don't have a background in programming it will be pretty difficult.

Awful professor who acts like it's a chore to teach. Has an annoyed attitude if approached with questions and is rude if asked for clarification about ambiguous project requirements. Will fuss about minor errors in your assignment, yet his tests have misspelled questions with incorrect labels for answers. DO NOT TAKE IF YOU WANT A GOOD TEACHER!

Took him online. Pretty much expects you to do things without bothering him. Even asking a simple question will result in him being rude in the response. Do not take if you do not have previous programming knowledge. You will not get help from him. Aside from that, weekly online chapter exams and weekly programming labs directly from the book.

DO NOT TAKE HIM! Took him online, he is very unorganized with what he wants us to do. He expects us to learn everything by ourselve, he replies emails but in a rude way! The teacher assistant is very helpful though. I recommend for you to take another teacher!

I signed up for this class not expecting anything. I took this because it was a required prerequisite although I wasn't a computer science major. He goes very off topic in lecture and doesn't teach you anything. I had to work hard and meet with the tutors all the time. They're the reason I learned something. The professor was nice but sarcastic.

Easy A if you do the work (which is not a lot). Not very helpful in class or lectures, but his tutors are absolutely wonderful. Tests over every chapter are due online, but the tests are more like quizzes. Again, easy A if you do the work.

I took his online class over the summer. The class is not difficult at all. There are no prerecorded lectures, just read the book. There will be a test after every chapter on blackboard. There is absolutely no reason you should not get an A. Do not expect lectures or power points. He responds to emails fairly quickly if you have questions.

Since it is required to do all assignments and exams online, don't expect any class lectures on the chapters. He is there if you need to ask specific questions or need grades explained, but does not really teach you anything. You must read the book, that's just the way the online course is setup. He also tends to get off topic quite often.

Not helpful at all. BUT go to the tutors in the lab, they are really helpful. I recommend STEM majors to take a cosc or c++ and python but with another professor.

I took this course online over the summer. It was a 5-week course. Try to avoid Dr. Liebling if you're taking a 5-week online course. He has a tutor who will be on campus at certain times, but personally he hardly be on campus. You're basically on your own; his online tests are rather hard unless if you know what you're doing. Got no help at all.

He is a very nice guy who will help you out as long as you are up front with him. He is a little ADD, but he told us that from the beginning. You can tell he really wants his students to learn the material and do well in their careers. It's almost impossible to fail his class unless you don't put in the time to do the homework (there's not a lot).
