I honestly have never dreaded a class more than Chahryar's; his lectures come from overcomplicated Power Points, and he can literally put you to sleep with how monotone he is. The only graded assignments are true/false quizzes and tests that come straight from the textbook, and the test dates are spontaneous. Take another professor if possible!

He can ramble, get confused, and seems pompous, but he is really nice and sweet. I went to see him in his office to talk about a quiz expecting him to be mean or rude, but he was very understanding and friendly.

He's a nice guy with a good heart, but terrible as a teacher. HOWEVER, English is obviously now his first language and he struggles to explain concepts. Questions? He'll repeat what he just said 3 times, and then maybe another student will help you. He'll try his best to help students that need help, but quizzes are HARD. Curves Grades

While he may be hard to understand, I was able to comprehend the material. One half of the semester is Excel, other is Access. If you are tech savvy you will not have a problem. I noticed others struggled in the course. Grades tough and gives 4 quizzes and 4 assignments per section along with a midterm and final. Study, ask for help.

One of the rudest, most self-important individuals I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. I was meant to have another professor but Marshall switched my instructor at the last minute and I was stuck. If you have a choice DON'T take him. You'll hate every minute of this class and he does nothing to make it easier on you.

If you're an adult and can take your own initiative then this class shouldn't be a problem for you. If you need help ask for it and he'll work through it with you. Sometimes he spends a little too much time on one thing or gets hung up on a problem he can't solve but overall he knows what he's talking about.

Class was pretty easy. GO to class, take in the painful lectures and learn, and do your assignments. I didn't study for quizzes, but if you pay attention in class he'll say most of the answers. Also, if you don't understand how to do something LOOK IN THE BOOK. It's there to help guide you. A little reading isn't going to kill anyone.

Kind of hard to understand at times. I had previous knowledge of Excel and Access before entering class and I think that is why most of the stuff he taught came easier to me than other students. If you read the review questions in the back of tutorials in the text book, that is what he bases his quizzes from. An A is attainable if you try.

Horrible Class. I don't think he understands what is going on half the time. When asking him to clarify something I always came out more confused. Take someone else. If it wasn't for fellow classmates I wouldn't have passed the class.

Chahryar is the worst teacher I have EVER HAD (including high school and junior high). He makes up excuses for why he can't do something right in the programs, and sometimes he will stop "teaching" for like ten minutes to figure out what the hell he's supposed to do. Do NOT take any of his classes unless you have to (or if you just hate yourself).

Terrible professor. Expects you to know everything already and doesn't teach concepts. Gives projects that he doesn't teach you about. Unless you have experience with the program LabVIEW, be prepared to be confused and lost most of the semester. You have to teach yourself through trial and error, and even then you are still lost. Do NOT take him.

There are plenty of examples, but here is a more recent one: He was asked to give a review before a quiz since we hadn't had class in a week. He denied that, then removed the quiz grades from our scores because we all did horribly. Only 3/30 people in the class understand the topics even slightly. Terrible professor.

He's a nice guy but sometimes i dont he knows what he is talking about. He gives you quizzes on the chapters you DON'T study because he tells you to study the wrong chapter. His midterms and tests, SUPER hard;You will never finish them. He Always grades on a curve apparently so if you ask about your grade he will tell you not to worry.
