I at first doubted Prof O'Briens teaching on the subject, but he knows his stuff, and not only that. Hes a fair grader, and loves people who are vocal in his class. Speak out loud , he also shows inclass movies. His papers are tricky but if you pay attention in class they are EASY. I WOULD SUGGEST TAKING THIS CLASS, GREAT GUY!

His class is definitely not easy but he makes it so interesting that you end up remembering the stuff he talks about. He changes up the tests so you'd have an inclass and a take home then a paper. He's pretty fair

Didn't know the material - unprepared. Unclear. Spoke more about his personal life and wanted to know about the entire class' personal life. Sure, most think he is hilarious - didn't teach and was disorganzied. Actually took other classes in Art and History which brought to light that he taught us incorrectly in some aspects of the period. If y

He's so nice, and he does tend to go back and forth and ramble, but he's a good teacher. He learns everyone's name in the first week so if you like to skip class a lot dont take him. Also he gives lots of notes and everything you need to know is basically in the notes. He's a very fair grader and his exams are not hard. He gives big hints.

take him! he mumbles, so he's a little hard to understand at first. but you start to get used to it. DO NOT buy the texts (only the novels) - everything you need to know is in your notes. easy grader. but make sure to participate in class. he WILL know your name.

This Professor is new here @ Rutgers, and he is a great one at that. He cares for what he teaches and wants his students to do well.Though he gives a lot of notes from his lectures.Exams are essays and identities, and there are a lot of readings (5 books)for his courses, as well as 2 papers!!!

This guy is extremely uptight. Maybe with a few more years teaching under his belt he will chill, but he doesn't have much respect for his students. He's got favorites and if your not one....you'll know....believe me!!
