Since this class is required for my major, I have to pass it. Guess what, I have to retake it! Very condescending and rude. Expects way too much from his students. The group project is ridiculously hard, it is almost impossible to do good on it, and I have never gotten over a 73 on an exam. I have never been more stressed out in a class before.

Mr. O takes this class way too seriously.I am retaking this class and I still failed the group project even though I had my old work to look back at. His grading makes no sense. He told me I had a lot of good information and some was weak, yet i got a 56. how does that make sense? wish this class wasn't mandatory for my major

Super condescending. He will constantly try to be motivational but it comes off as more of him threatening us. Expects WAY to much from his students and is an extremely tough grader. Needless to say, I should not be more stressed and overwhelmed from this class than I am from organic chemistry.

Hes a tough professor yes, but I really enjoyed his class. The semester long project can be a bit, but hes trying to teach you all that has been in his lectures (and you certainly don't want to miss any important information). The textbook is VERY HELPFUL. Also, he is helpful if you go to his office hours. Lecture is not so bad, he jokes a lot.

Yes, he is tough. Yes, you will need to put in a great deal of time and effort taking his classes. However, Mr. O is extremely knowledgeable and you will LEARN A LOT. He will push you only for your own benefit. He is a great person, people are just too quick to judge and too often looking for an easy way out.

As a Dietetics major this class is required, however I did not enjoy this class one bit. He is a rude and condescending man. There is a semester long project that is so much work,basically impossible to do well on and will take up all of your time. If you do not worship him and laugh at his jokes he likes to pick on you even more.

Mr. O is a tough professor, however you will LEARN an exceptional amount of information. His lectures are fantastic and he does not miss a beat. He WILL call on you, so be ready to answer. Participation in this class is key, but fear not as it will better help you to learn the information. Be ready for the term project worth 30% of your grade.

HORRIBLE. Do not take this professor unless this class is mandatory for your major. I randomly got put in it as a freshman and it was awful. He's really condescending and tries to embarrass you in class. So many online quizzes that are hard to get over a 70 on. He thinks he's the best event planner of all time. Only talks about himself.

Mr. O's organization on Angel website is atrocious. He expects a great deal of work from students so that they will learn. Appears to enjoy making students squirm. Online quizzes are rediculous and forget about arguing over errors on quizzes. Show no fear! He is not all bad and can be reasonable.

I learned SO MUCH from this class to be honest. As a Dietetics student, this class is pretty fun and I thought I had a great and fun experience. Must read the book. 2 Exams and a cumulative final. Group project was very time-consuming but I learned a lot from it. Term paper was awesome. Very difficult class however. A+ professor though.

This class is wonderful if you are a food service major. However, Oberkircher teaches it to DIETETICS also but doesn't include what would be useful to them. He's OK. I'm doing pretty well in the class, but he acts like he is God and if you aren't the person who CAN devote all your time to his class its a problem. And he is VERY judgmental.

Mr.O is sweet and sour. He is tough as hell. His philosophy is that he pushes students and they have manage it so he keeps pushing them. you will have a 20pg paper a term long team project, really hard tests. he wants to make your life hell then invites you to his office and give you chocolate as compensation. the wk load is waaay too much!

this guy knows his stuff and it's obvious he loves it! The books are nice to have, but he really doesn't ever use them. Tests are much harder than you will expect! This is the kind of class where you will use the information over and over again for a long time after you leave

Really amazing teacher, you will learn more than you imagined but be prepared to spend hours studying. His exams are impossible and he does not give As EVER!! Spent 7 hours studying for his final!
