This is my second time taking Dr. Britton. I'm struggling still. He reads the examples instead of teaching you HOW to programs. Expect the homeworks to be complicated and be over something not even discussed yet in class. Tests are straightforward though. He takes a lot of study to make it. He is very nice though and tries hard.

If you have a programming mind he's great. If you don't well he's confusing as all get out. I'm a A+ Certified IT....he isn't the clearest in the world unless you think like a programmer.

DON'T TAKE CLARK! Clark BLOWS entirely I took Britton the next semester. Granted he IS boring and incredible goofy and lame... HOWEVER if you are interested in programming he will teach you and you'll understand but quickly become annoyed at his redundancy. He overteaches the material but makes it comprehensible. Wrote all programs from notes.

Dr. Britton is not as bad as many of the reviews make him out to be. Sure, he's boring, but he is nice, and if you have a question he'll try his best to explain it in a way you can understand. He's not an easy A, but if you do the assignments and read the chapters you will do well.

Doesn't give a flip, just cares about paycheck. You have to pull teeth to get him to explain something in detail where you understand it, and should have longer office hours. Typical UT Martin professor but a whole heck of a lot better than CLARK. Take CS221 at Com. College. These guys can't teach their way out of a paper bag on a wet day.

i couldnt stay awake in here. tests are over the book. his notes pretty much outline the book. programs seem a bit dificult b/c there is no lab for this course and you cant learn to program by reading a book. and who wants to write programs when they arent assigned? not an easy A but not hard
