Comment:

Gilman is one of the easiest A's you can take and I took him for ENG101 service learning. He is very funny and gives lectures about random stories from his life. All I did was show up and just sit in my desk and order clothes on my laptop. I was awful at English in Hs and never got an A on any paper but in this class, every paper I wrote got an A

Easiest professor I've had at SJU. Highly reccomend taking him. I showed up to maybe 1/4 of the classes and still ended with an A. There are 3 big(5 page) papers, 4 little(1 page) papers, and the final exam. That's it. As long as you are a good writer, you'll end with an A. Seriously the sweetest guy ever.

This guy is genius. His class was literally the best class I've had in my whole life as a student. I learned so much from professor Gilman, and honestly I had so much fun. His classes were the funniest thing ever, and that's what honestly made them interesting. His essays make you think about your life. This was the best class experience I've had.

Gilman is insane but he is absolutely hilarious. The nicest/coolest teacher I have yet to have at SJU. Easy grader on easy papers, attendance isn't mandatory, and classes can get boring but his antics usually liven them up. Definitely take him.
