Dr. Koch ha a great understanding of the field of economics. This class was very informative and relevant with the issues in macroeconomics today. However, I feel that the teaching style is not as effective as it could be. During the lectures it is easy to zone out because he does all the talking. He's also one of the easiest graders I've seen.

Koch is one of the best professors I have ever had. I actually had him for Econ 101 and Macro and I learned a ton in both classes. He will work with you outside of class if you ever have questions and he LOVES IT if you ask intelligent questions in class. He has a clear passion for Economics and can make even idiots like me really understand.

So nice and smart! He's a brilliant man. His dry humor is great! I had him my freshman year and he still remembers my name my senior year. I only had him for principles of Economics and he remembers me. Fantastic man.

He's not very open to discussing different economic theories. He's very stubborn. Instead of covering the basics of economic theory, his intro to economics class covers what he believes to be the best economic system: pseudo-free-market economics (that is, free market in name but not in reality). It's a waste of time.
