Not a very good professor. Scatter-brained, coy, sarcastic, and not a positive influence for students. She brought her son to class once who was completely out of control and disruptive, and thought it was funny.

Ok, let me give you the lowdown on her. Some classes are easy with her-some are hard. Adult development is easy, adolescent is not. Maybe not every single joke she tells is funny but this lady is spot on with everything, she's like a stand up comedian. She's extremely smart and just fascinating to listen to. You will learn a lot.

She is very scattered and assigns a LOT of work. I worked my butt off and still got unsatisfactory grades. She definitely has her favorites, usually her advisees.She tells a lot of anecdotal stories and simply expects too much from students. She's definitely out there. But on the plus side she is available to help you outside of class.

Her classes are very heavy on reading. She expects all of her students to work extreemly hard in order to pass. C is her average grade and you will have to go above and beyond to get any better than a C. She accepts no excuses. If you are responsible and hard working you might succede with her but DON'T EXPECT ANY SYMPATHY.

class was one of the worst I have ever take. She gives a ton of reading assignments that you need to print and you either don't go over them or they hardly relate to what we are covering in class. WOW. better go read the book ASAP b/c if you want to learn anything it's CRUCIAL to read the book. The reading she gives for homework (every class) has little to nothing to do with what P.Susan talks about in class the next day. She confused me and has an annoying laugh and seemed more focused on making jokes than teaching the material. ANNOYING

This professor was by far the WORST! She leaves you with the impression that you are going to do fine in her class but little do you know unless you are a favorite then don't count on it. She took the ENTIRE class out for dinner and drinks and allowed everyone to bring a guest, gave out the evaluations and then gave everyone C's in the class!!!!!

Crazy. Sometimes that was good, sometimes it wasnt that great. Most of the times, it was hard to follow how what she was talking about was connected to the class. It was also difficult to understand how one topic connected to the other. She also had an annoying laugh and a habit of clearing her throat loudly.

Ok...here is the deal with her. If you never show up to class and you have trouble with material, don't expect her to sympathize, b/c she doesn't care at all. Do the work and stay focussed and LOOK interested. It will def show in your grade. She is def cool outside the classroom.

You either love or hate her,or a little bit of both. She has many different ways of teaching, is a little scattered, fun and sarcastic, smart and feisty. Her classes never seemed to follow the text but somehow you got it. A lot of reading.

Gerrity ROCKS! She's so funny and makes class so fun! U may not agree with everything she says but she's a very effective teacher. Every1 should take her adolescent psych and/or adults and aging courses. She's also a good person 2talk2 outside of class.
