HORRIBLE CLASS! He makes no sense, and his "text book" is just his ramblings. The course work is easy, and if you can understand enough to participate you will do great. I would not recommend him, he was a great person but a horrible teacher. He expects everyone to have a religious background and that they understand everything.

Padriac is a good guy. He's funny and tries to make class interesting but I could slip into a slight coma in that class. I'm sure his philosophical ideas are extraordinary but they went way over my head. Still it was an easy class with a take home final of like 50 t/f questions. Other than that we just had to write one 5 page paper.

The finest teacher/friend/gray haired theologian out there. When I first entered RS101, I had no idea what he was talking about, words a mile long and ideas too complex for my puny freshman brain. But soon thereafer I was using words perhaps half a mile long and ideas slightly too large for my slightly enlarged brain. Fantastic educator, and a good friend. Oh, buy his book, its a good one.

Insanely easy class. No tests or quizzes, just one research paper. Bad side, MOST BORING TEACHER EVER. Class lectures are horrendous and has no incentive to get you involved. Make sure to speak at least once during class so you won't have to take the final.

I had Padraic three times and would've taken more if I could have fit it in. He gets it. Understands that the class shouldn't be about him (unlike a lot of Merrimack professors). Bring an opinion to class and you're all set.

Only 2 papers, no tests. Boring and not consistent with grading but gave everyone decent grades. I spent the whole time doodling. Lectures difficult to understand. He is funny to listen sometimes. I recommend this class to fulfill religion requirement.
