Worst prof I have ever had at UCF! Doesn't teach, just plays the DVD from the book and answers minimal questions. Extremely harsh grader, especially on video assignments. Messes up her hand signs all the time so she teaches you incorrect information. Generally pretty rude and unapproachable. I learned nothing. Avoid taking her at all costs!

Nice lady but seems to be unaware of what she's doing in regards to assignments. A lot of bs work, long PowerPoints that she reads word for word and monotone. Very boring. Plenty of assignments, tests are easy-ish if you study. Requires you spend $100+ on a textbook you use for two 15 point assignments, can't sell back because it has an access code

This class is all common sense. Didn't study at all and got an A. If you are stressed out about college then take the class but if you know how to manage your time then avoid it. Didn't learn anything new and regret spending my money on it. Professor is not helpful at all.

She is genuinely a nice person. As a person I like her, as a teacher she is ok. Her class can be a little boring, and sometimes you feel like you don't learn much. But overall pretty easy, she gives hints for the test and all the work is simple, even if your not the best signer. I would take her again.

she is ok teacher but you must talk to her if want to get a good grade if you don't she won't give you the grade that you deserve. You must attend all classes there are no excuses she still takes points off. Her Teaching can be confusing. If you can take a deaf teacher i would advise to do that.

If you have no knowledge of sign language, the class is going to be hard regardless of who teaches. A lot of material to learn and you have to try to learn it. Fairly easy to get good grades but you have to work hard. Requires an interaction with a deaf person and a follow-up paper. Pretty cool class- you learn a lot!

This class was so easy. The exams are easy, she tells you exactly what to study. She wasnts everyone to pass, and the Silent DInners at the Fashion Square Mall taught me so much. I learned so much sign language from that class. SHe is the BEST teacher.

Pam is an AMAZING teacher! Attendence is mandatory, so definately go to class. The movie is horrible, but Pam makes it fun. Make friends in the class and talk to Pam. She will do whatever she can to help you. DEFINATELY take her class!

very good teacher! you have the ability to really learn a lot in this class. if you come to class, watch the DVD, you WILL get a good grade on the tests/quizzes. Attendance counts and there are pop-quizzes for each section (and fingerspelling exercises), so make sure go to class. This class was a lot of fun... def. take her if you can!

Excellent teacher and class. It is very easy all you have to do is pay attention. I never had to "study" for a test or quiz. She is so nice and makes things very interesting and fun! Take her, there is no doubt in my mind you will love her!

The easiest sign language teacher! Learn the vocabulary, watch the videos, and attend the silent dinners and you're fine. The silent dinners are the best way to practice your signing and receptive skills. The subject matter is easy and if you make sure to study/practice you're fine.

Rea was an amazing ASL teacher, shes very close to the deaf community and if you show interest, she helps bring you into it. Shes funny, and genuinely wants you to learn and love ASL. Chances are, if you dont like her, its because you did poorly in the class.

She is one of the greatest teachers ive ever had. She makes it fun, she makes it interesting, and she has this way of making you feel very comfortable and eager to learn. i would recommend her to anyone! and she doesnt talk down to you at all!

I took her at VCC for summer and I loved her. Didnt talk down but we had small class, she was very nice and patient w/us, just make sure u attend class and practice, fun class at VCC. Hand sometimes hard to understand but u learn!

The class is very easy. I didn't care for her grading scale. I got 100's on all of my tests, but attendance brought me down to a low A and I only missed 2 days! Her teaching methods annoyed the hell out of me, but the course isn't hard at all.
