This is one of the harder classes i've ever taken. The material covered isn't that complex, its just that the tests are so specific and so random that it is hard to study for them. Overall the structure for grading isn't that bad (homework and lab are basically 100% if you do them), the tests give you a lot of stress.

I had Pam for an independent study. She was very helpful and pushed me to do better than I thought I could. She is a great professor who will push you to great heights if you let her. She has high expectations but if you exceed them she will praise and respect you.

Took plant diversity. She's a really nice person (I almost failed, but she passed me anyway), but I find that her tests are sooo much harder than she makes them out to be and they are so difficult. On the first test, the average was a 53 in a bio class! Likes to focus on life cycles.

She wears plant-related clothes every day for the whole year. The class is nice but she thinks she goes easy on you with the exams and she doesn't. You have to keep your brain awake no matter how easy you Think it is going to be.

She is pretty nice, however, she makes the exams pretty difficult. And you do have to do decently on the exams to get a good grade; contrary to popular belief. She usually wears plant-related shirts to class; it's pretty funny

She makes the class easy to pass and easy to do well in. Her tests are kind hard, especially if you don't know what to expect, but you don't have to do too well on the tests to do well and the conf in the green house are really fun.

I was interested in this class before I took it. However, taking it sucked out all interest. She graded on her own scale, and did not actually teach what she graded on, or grade according to the course outline. She also feigned to like you, but seemed to go out of her way to make your life difficult.

If you go to class and take the notes you should be fine. I found that i usually remembered what she said in class easily. Exams are a little hard. Don't underestimate! but she grades on a curve. Really nice personality, a little boring at times though...
