I've had at least 4 political science classes with Pat. With every successive class I found that he is professional and if you actually work hard and pay attention you will learn a lot from him. College isn't supposed to be easy, that is why it is worth something.

Pat Donnay is a low key professor, but a very good one. He offers plenty of extra credit and for every test he allows the teacher assistant to hold a study session and practically tell you what is on the test. If you are willing to put any time in at all to his class, you will pass and should get a good grade.

He has online quizzes from the book His lectures barely follow the book and he looks at the ceiling instead of the class often when giving lectures You also have to read a non fiction book about relevant political topics and then you get quizzed on them I wouldn't take him again and I would not recommend him

He is a nice guy. Stingy about phones. Don't buy the book for Intro to American Politics. He gets lost in his own thoughts a lot and can't find the right words to say. Lectures aren't the worst you'll experience but you'll find yourself sitting there thinking "why have we been discussing this for 20 minutes?" Tests are easy, utilize student teacher

Donnay is easily the worst professor I have ever had. He grades in the most confusing way. It often seems like he has no idea what he is talking about.

Took an online course. Enjoyed the format of the course as it was straight forward every week. Quizzes every week consisting of multiple choice and essay questions. Tests are based on the on the book. No lectures, no discussions. I would recommend this class to anyone.

Horrible class. Tests are almost impossible to fully study for because you have to remember every detail. If he makes a mistake, he doesn't correct it. If someone starts a debate with him, he gets flustered and basically won't answer their questions. He doesn't understand that most people are taking this class for credits, not to be politicians.

This guy just doesn't get it. Which is ironic, because that is what he said to me when I took his class, and now I am making a very good living as a political consultant working both state and federal races, and he is a guy whose course website looks like it was created in 1992.
