Professor Kearney is about to retire, and for this reason she is very relaxed in class and rather funny. She expects a lot out of her students, so be prepared to put effort into assignments. There are weekly quizzes on the book, two exams (that are super easy if you do the study guide) and one group presentation/paper. She is a tough grader.

Pat is a sweetheart! She is a great professor and a little sarcastic, which makes her class lots of fun. She gives weekly chapter quizzes, midterm, and final. 2 lowest quiz grades are dropped. The class is pretty straightforward, and so are her tests. You can easily pass. Final paper can be substituted by a group project instead.

Absolutely loved Dr. Kearney. She has a lot to teach both inside and outside of the classroom. Just take the class seriously, try your hardest, keep up with the material, and you will be fine. You will definitely need the textbook for the weekly quizzes.

She is a very nice person because she cares for her students that want to do well in her class and she recognizes that. She gives 6 quizzes (2 of the lowest ones are dropped), group project presented to the class (make sure to rehearse), research paper (not too long), midterm, and a final. She was a great lecturer and made the class laugh a lot.

You have to read the book. Read the book (which I hate doing) is the difference between an A and a C. Her questions are pulled directly from the text. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE CLASS. Etiquette seems like an easy A, the tests are designed to make sure you TRULY know it. I had a hard schedule and this is the class that concerned me at finals!

Dr. Kearney is a great professor! She has a lot of energy and really captures her audience. However, she can definitely be a little gender/heteronormative. You can also tell she's retired because she gets over things like we do. Overall, would highly recommend her class. Really prepared me for life post-graduation.

Mrs. Kearney is nice, cool professor. The quizzes are fair just make sure you read chapter few times and be ready for true/false quizzes or multiple choices There were about 8 quizzes, one midterm, and final, powerpoint partner presentation. Just put effort in and keep up on the work and you'll get decent grade.

the workload seems like a lot but it's really not. her class can be hard but the way she lectures prepares you for your presentations. her test are exteremly difficult, she uses a lot of big fancy words. she's really sweet blunt though

Dr. Kearney is a great professor. She pushes you to really understand the material in a way that will really help you with your final project. I sought out help from her during office hours which not only helped me with the material comprehension but she remembered me in class as well. Not an easy class to get an A in; she'll make you work for it!

Completely doesn't follow syllabus schedule, changes due dates and cancels classes without much of a notice. assignment details are unclear and embarrasses you when you ask a question in front of the whole class. the class material can be easy if you teach yourself & read the textbook, just don't ever seek her for help. WORST comm teacher

She's very clear on what she expects. The work load was reasonable. Her lectures are great, and you leave fully understanding the text. You def need to work a little for your A, but it's not unmanageable. Super friendly & helpful. Hands down my favorite professor in the department!

I took her for family comm and she's great. She does have issues with technology, but she is not an easy A. Studied my butt off for the final and got an A. However, her workload for the class was very reasonable and doesnt overload you with group projects. just some reading, online quizes and a small presentation. taking her again for business comm

Dr. Kearney is a very nice lady. However, I was incredibly disappointed with this class. If you want a very easy A, and at least half of every class taken up by technical issues and chats about unrelated stuff, take her. If you actually value your college education; avoid. She also forces you to buy a $105+ textbook SHE and her husband wrote?!?!?!

Her summer class is extremely easy. Great teacher. Sometimes she gets annoyed in class by simple things nd she lets everyone know. yes this lady throws temper tantrums nd she has a little smart mouth on her bt i rather deal w/ her menopause attitude nd get an "A" than deal w/ a teacher who is really nice bt fails me. did i mention her class is easy

Prof. Kearney is so sweet. Her class is moderate but definitely not easy! You may think that family comm is common sense but you really do need to study to do well on her exams. She teaches in an exciting and interesting way. I always look forward to her class! She teaches in a way in which the whole class can relate&I wish she taught more classes!

Dead on with the athlete deal. Makes everybody else feel like hardworking, fat and HONEST students. Guess it's 'cause they're afraid of the athlete's "aggressive" behavior. Whatever. Easy class. Just make sure to tattle on the cheaters (athletes), it's easy to cheat on the tests in their big classes. Just not fair for those who actually study.

Winter session taught w/ her hubby- T. Plax. Just like everybody says. EASY! Very enthusiastic while teaching and can relate the content to life. Only gripe was they seemed to favor the athletes. Didn't matter if they were smart or dumb, they would come in late, cheat on tests, miss class and prolly still got an A.Get over dat, & u'll get an easy A
