Very little constructive feedback or guidance. Heavily relies on participation, will not bend an inch to assist in mistakes. Does not provide individual feedback on Discussions at all! Would NOT take class with her again.

Great teacher. There is just 2 papers. Don't miss any discussions. Just follow the syllabus and you will be golden. The short stories that are picked out during the semester are interesting to read. So, it makes the class more involved.

Dr. Gray is awesome! She gives clear grading criteria and is encouraging towards her students. The stories chosen for this course were great and the variety really made this class interesting. Although this was online, Dr. Gray checked in frequently and was always available for questions or concerns. Just follow the syllabus and you will do fine!

Essay 2- For this essay, you will select one story that is accompanied by a companion piece (a critical essay, an interview, or another essay by one of the authors) found in Part 2 of our text. You will then analyze the short story according to a significant interpretive thesis or assertion of your own devising, using the accompany source.

I decided to drop the class the 2nd day as I had a hard time comprehending the short stories, as they were mostly written in old english. The course requirements include: Two, 4 page essays. Essay 1- select two short stories read thus far in the semester and compare and contrast them according to a common theme.

Good teacher, wants you to pass, but only if you do the work. Attendance is huge, save those sick days for real sick days. Reading is a big part of the class, and there is a lot of writing about them. Get ready to write essays and summaries. There are peer-edits done for rough drafts, and final drafts. Speak up about anythingeverything.

She is very good. She's an easy grader for the most part. However, some things you need to ask her to repeat because she doesn't make it clear.

Short Stories was pretty easy. As long as you did the discussion board twice a week (It's on a TR schedule). She graded essays quickly and leniently. I suggest not buying the book and renting it from Chegg (It was only 8$). Or the majority of the stories we read were available on PDF's through Google. Easy class, easy 4.0, helpful teacher.
