Wonderful professor, lots of knowledge to gain from her about Humanities, she is strict but it is for your own good and there is a lot of reading involved but the reading is the groundwork for everything else.

I took her for an online course and I made a huge mistake. I have an A in the class, however, I had to be on top of everything to maintain that A. She makes things due without putting them on the calender. She wants you to post post post post post, like seriously post anything and don't be short or she marks points off. Good luck.

Took her class online. She doesnt provide lectures. Just tells you to read 60+ pages every 2 weeks and do a quiz based on it. All the quiz questions can be googled. I cheated my way to an A. I am sure all her classes are set up like this. There's boring discussion topics unrelated to the reading and she wants you to actively participate.

I was so excited to take Humanities when the school advisers told me what is was all about. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very boring, and frustrating class. It was hard to focus on the class because the teacher just gave you a ton of busy work. The grading is not consistent and she doesn't respond well when you ask her questions. STAY AWAY

So far so good in this semester. Open communication, We'll see what the end of school shows. Yes, it seems as if she wants heavy involvement, but what prof doesn't? Workload is kind of heavy per week for adult learners with full time jobs, and families.

I really like Humanities and was anxious to take this class, but I did NOT like this class! She was such a tough grader on all of the discussion posts. The tests were easy, but were hardly worth any points. She also never gave you constructive criticism to explain what she didn't like about your post to know what to improve. Would NOT RECOMMEND!

I've had this prof for 2 classes. Her grading criteria is spelled out. Follow her instructions and you will do well. She responds to emails. Either I am one of her favorite students or others are not following directions because I get almost all A's in her class. Tests are HARD and you will not do well if you do not read the text.

I took the 8wk course, Every week you read two chapters, complete a discussion and a bunch of videos/articles to look at and 1-2 quizzes. Grading is not consistent, and often quiz questions when viewed after the fact cannot be found in the book ANYWHERE! 2 papers. Course was interesting, teacher was not. Take this course with a different professor.

Good teacher, but requires a lot of participation throughout the week. Don't expect to do all your work in one day because she wants active participation throughout the week. She took around 3-4 days to respond to emails though.

Not perfect like her daughters, will not treat you equally. Better not mess up or she will use the silent treatment on you. Ask her for help, only replies to so many emails that she deems necessary. Great course and nice professor. She does act like a victim when the course has errors. She will say " it was not written by her", however, she should have looked it over. Other then that its an easy course. Two essays and every quizzes/test has two attempts. Discussions are fun to do, the Japan one was about anime. Its an easy A.

First ever rate simply because if my frustrations are not heard, I will implode! If your world views, politics and agenda differs from hers, she will deduct points. The material is intellectually stimulating, but all she does is enrage me. SPC should take her off the staff. Terrible professor. So sad I have her for an otherwise great class.
