This professor is passionate about what he teaches. Some say he is disrespectful, but he is just firm. He is a retired cop and vietnam veteran - give him a break and grow a backbone! He gave us a few take-home tests (must read the book to complete) and a 3 page essay at the end of the semester. You lose points for missing 4+ classes. Participate!

Taking this class was the biggest mistake in my college career. He is disrespectful towards students, talks more about how wonderful he is than the lecture notes, and spends most of the time complaining about how stupid millennial are. All test answers in the book. On average he talked about himself 43 times per class I took a tally DO NOT TAKE

I took Social Problems with him and it was fantastic. Yes, he does just basically read off of slides but he makes sure to add his own examples and such to make sure you get it. All tests were take home and straight out of the book. The information was interesting to learn and we only had to write one easy paper (basically an article summary).

Very knowledgeable professor, however, depending on his mood can be quite disrespectful. One paper, 4 take home exams which are multiple choice (and hard). Reads off slides in class. BUY THE BOOK or you will fail. Allows 4 absences before point deductions. Overall I would recommend but if you rely on assignments to pass this class isn't for you

GREAT professor. He'll have you laughing at every class. You go through slide shows in class, then take 4 easy online exams all semester. Actually a good method for me because I learned a lot! Very chill and just an overall amazing guy..I HIGHLY recommend taking his class

He is simply a phenomenal teacher. He keeps things fresh with proper amounts of wit and humor, but also is extremely knowledgeable and interesting. He has a multitude of life experience that he is always willing to share with the class, and that is always relevant. He's not too difficult if you read the book! A+

Loved his class. Take home tests, power point presentations which follow the book to a tee. Doesn't care if you miss class, just as long as you make up the work. Last class gives you a test, and then you can make up tests that you missed. Seriously consider taking his class.

He was really helpful! A great teacher who really cares about students. He is a police officer too, therefore, he gives great examples of situations to help you remember the lessons. Highly recommended!

Great guy. I took a class I didn't need just because he was teaching it and I knew it would be good. You don't have to take notes because he emails you his slides. Funny guy, interesting class, I learned a lot and it was fairly easy.
