Payy was a great way to begin college level french. She is so helpful and understanding, yet she has high standards for your work and your attendance. She is a tough grader but is not out to trip you up. I highly recommend her class.

Absolutely amazing. She was seriously my favorite teacher this year. She's extraordinarily helpful and a very fair grader. She is strict with attendance and disrupting class though, but very reasonable.

I took 3 classes with Patty. She is wonderful. I still hate French Grammar (even 3 post-grad). When I think back to Skidmore I will always remember Patty. She is not an easy grader! If you want to learn have fun while doing it take her class. For a funny story ask her about her speeding ;)Sorry Patty, I had to say it! I miss you!

Patty is amazing! Classes are always a ton of fun. She's energetic and really loves chatting with her students and getting to know everyone. I definitely learned a lot and felt encouraged to talk and participate in class. Classes are completely mandatory, you can't expect to miss more than once or twice. (The policy makes sens though...)Je l'adore!

She is an absolutely amazing teacher. I think she is by far one of my favorite teachers here. She keeps class entertaining and is very encouraging. She helps us learn things in contexts that make it easier for us to remember. (Im not saying the class is easy, but if you love French and you have Patty, you are bound to have a blast)

By far my favorite teacher at skidmore so far. Really wants you to not only learn but succeed. Only problem would be if any student is dishonest or lacking integrity. She goes out of her way to help you out and make sure you're understanding whats going on in class.
