Great Professor. Really down to earth, all around nice guy. Wants to help you, and wants you to do well. Takes a while on papers but the feedback is worth it. Great lecturer as well, keeps class interesting, and engages students in discussions. Loved him. If you enjoy actually learning and doing work take him it's worth it.

He was a funny/cool professor, but took FOREVER to give back papers and tests. He's also not an extremely easy grader. Most of it is writing, so if you're not a strong writer, I would definitely stay away from this class.

Typical college professor, and I mean that in the best way possible. Laid back, cool, smart, pierced ear, you get the picture. However if you don't like reading, writing or history then you might be in the wrong place. 4 books, 2 papers, 2 tests (all essay) He actually takes the time to read your paper and give you comments. All in all, he is great

Awesome teacher! Very anal about the essays. If you don't like to do in class essays, don't take the class. A lot of notes, but if you study and prepare you will do fine on the exams. HOT!!

I was interested in this class and signed up for Berk based on the good ratings he had here and they certainly served me well. Interesting class; Berk really knows his stuff. As he says at the start of semester, if you can't handle his format of tests and in-class essays, then don't stay in there. If you go to class and take notes you'll be fine.

Oh man, not only is Paul Berk extrememly intelligent, but that just adds to his HOTNESS. His lectures are interesting and his jeans are great. Watch out for a random f bomb or two... keeps life interesting. Excellent teacher, ladies get in his class!

Mr. Berk is the man. I have had him for both AMH2097 and WOH1030, and found him to be a great teacher. He holds good lectures,and you will be wowed by his history knowledge. His class is a little writing intensive and the essays can be tough. Just read!
