I've had professor Brandt twice and I would gladly take him again! Listen to him in class, if he says something more than once chances are it will be on the test. He pretty much tells you everything you need to know. If you don't like literature or intelligent conversation, don't take the class. I would recommend him to anyone who loves english

I had him for colloquium and I thought he was great. He's obviously got a passion for what he's teaching and I think it rubs off on students who actually give a crap about what's being discussed. Hints: speak up in class, offer opinions, and show up to class. Otherwise, just read and absorb. Taking him again next fall.

His class is one of the worst educational experiences of my life. I came into this class with a rather ecstatic passion for literature and he has utterly destroyed it. With his delusive surmising and beguiling view of English he will completely diminish your appreciation and love for the written word. Avoid his class at all cost.

Ya know the class was Bible, it was for my major, but it ended up being fun. Brandt was a goofy guy who would go on tangents, but they were funny. Esp the one about Moby Dick. I thought he was a really nice guy, and the tests were incredibly easy. Studied for every one while I was **** and still pulled a b. I liked him.

Brandt is sush a funny little man, and he really gets you thinking about things that many people never consider. Sometimes his energy is too much for an early class though... I always feel bad that the class is never as excited as he is.

Professor Brandt is a wonderful man, and he truly means well, but he doesn't make a strong connection with his class. I went to every class, studied, and took notes religiously only to find crazy material never covered on the exam. The tests weren't awful, though. If you read like you're supposed to, you will do fine.

Very informative and gives many views on the pieces we read in class. Very interesting prof, sometimes gets very excited and shouts random things like "son of a gun" alot, but it keeps you listening! :) I would definatley take him again. Tests/quizzes are on stuff not always covered, so study good.

Very nice man. One of those you could just talk to outside of class. The material he chose for class was also interesting. I didn't mind going to class. He's a little odd, but that adds character. He makes everything interesting with his enthusiam so anyone could do well.
