this instructor sucked. he is/was a moody ****, i really hated every moment of the class. worse,...he doesn't grade tests and quizzes correctly. when I pointed it our to him, he got even more upset. the guy needs medication.

Even though I got an A in the class, it wasn't from the Prof teaching. This guy was worthless. He yelled at several students for no apparent reason and constantly made everyone feel on edge. His study guides had errors in them and he had mood swings when he corrected the tests and quizzes. Take the class from someone else.

Prof Cankar is offensive and rude. He plays favorites and goes off on students for no reason. I found he behaviors to be a distraction for this class. Consider taking Spanish 2 from another instructor...you'll be happy you did.

despite knowing a good deal of spanish and keeping up with the class, i never felt comfortable in here. there was always an uneasiness in the class due to this profs "anti-charisma". he's not friendly and will correct your pronounciation but he does a very decent job at teaching. he's OK if you aren't easily offended.

Professor Paul teaches in english which is very helpful. He also uses repetition, so as long as you are paying attention you'll get it. He can be somewhat intimidating, but he really isn't that bad.

I walked out of class today disgusted with this Instructor. He's rude, combative and unprofessional. He is hostile to the students, humiliates them and arbitrarily attempts to (and many time succeeds) intimidate individual students and the entire class. Please think twice about taking his class. I would not sign up for this class ever again!

I used for Spanish 1 & 2. He is an awesome professor. He cares about his students and is very helpful. Gives helpful hw and short daily quiz. Spoke mainly in english, which I found helpful. I wish he would have taught span 3, bc he was a great teacher.

I really did not like Prof. Cankar, at all. I did NOT take Spanish I with him the previous semester, and he treated me as an outcast for it. I neglected my homework once, due to illness, and he called me out and openly made fun of me in front of the class for it. I felt he was incredibly biased to help out previous students. DO NOT WANT.

He is a wonderful teacher. He gives you plenty of examples and chances to do well. You have a quiz every class, but as long as you do your homework, the quizzed are easy. There are test reviews so it makes the tests easier. I had no knowledge of Spanish I before and he made it pretty simple. Overall, great teacher.

Paul is a great teacher to take for spanish. his lectures are taught in english, so that helps those with no clue. He gives a lot of pop quizzes, but they are easy if you do the simple hw assignments and pay attention in class which isn't hard to do because class participation is hard to escape with him randomly callin on you. Overall good teacher!

Wonderful teacher.Instruction is given in English which allows everyone to understand exactly what is being taught. There is a short quiz at the start of every class; they are easy as long as you have done your homework. The quizzes are worth 35% of the final grade. There are 4 test worth 10% each and a comprehensive final with 25%.

Wonderful professor!! He comes off rude but he thats just the way he is.... you have to keep in mind this is a 5 credit class so if you F#@% up then your GPA goes way down. He is firm and does give alot of pop quizzes BUT THEY ALL which prepare you for the exam. Over all he is wonderful!!!! love it!

I LOVE his class. He does a good job teaching and as you are not an imbecile when it comes to foreign language you will do well. He says things over and over to make sure you get it. He's one of the only teachers I've had at ACC who deserves a good review.
