Professor Dolan was one of my favorite professors. I enjoyed taking his class so much that I took him almost 5 consecutive times. He was challenging, in a good way, and introduced me to many new works of lit that I never would have read!

Worst professor ever. Throws students out of class, and assigns 10 page reports to be completed within 2 days, like anyone can reasonably do that?! Stay away for your own good. Pick a different professor! Stay away from Dolan!

Probably the best professor I've ever had. I came out of his classes so stimulated and dying to learn more. He made me appreciate literature and poetry like no one else ever had. A wonderful sense of humor and a wonderful person. If you never had a chance to take him, you missed an amazing experience. They don't make them like him anymore!

Good Prof. Good class. Pulled the class into the story. Sort of obsessive about hating films especially those by F.F.Copolla, David Lynch. Made us care about short stories. He made me become an English Major.

Professor Dolan is awesome. I never appreciated poetry before taking his class. He is extremely passionate about what he teaches, and does a great job because of that. I would definetly recomend his class to anyone who has any interest in poetry or wants to get into poetry.

Comment:

Dolan is a very intelligent, very eccentric man. Has an unhealthy obsession with Yeats; still, is intense enough on the material that you HAVE to get into it. A hard grader, but really helps you learn to THINK about poetry. A must-take for EGL majors.
