Prof. Fishbane is an incredibly smart theoretical physicist. His lectures are very thoughtful and filled with lots of physical and mahtematical insights. Quantum I. The book sucks ass, but Fishbane does a pretty damn good job lecturing considering what he has to work with. He doesn't respond well at all to questions though, so he's not too helpful. He thinks his classes are filled with idiots so he omits some subtle details that make it make less sense to me, but most of the class seems fine with it

Good Professor. Teaches thoroughly with good orginization. I found the material was helpful in later classes. Sounds like some engineers didn't take advantage of an easy test. It was multiple choice!! I guess they wanted him to grade 250 tests for partial credit instead!

I had him for Quantum II and he was superb. Lectures were very clear and he legitimately cared if we learned it or not. Big class, but he learned all our names. There's no question you have to work at it, because the psets can be hard. I think the frosh engineers were expecting to coast through his class without doing any work.

For all i know he purposely taught wrong information. the man gave a 5 question multiple choice midterm my year. in a 250whatever person class. 5 questions, multiple choice. If that wasn't bad enough, he left the correct answer off two of them, and we had to retake it.

Fishbane is an awful teacher. I didn't go to class but it doesn't make a difference anyway. To get by on the hard ass tests you need: luck, natural physics skill, and TAs. If your in the e-school you have no choice
