Comment:

I had Professor Fleming for German Critical Theory and it was a mind blowing class. We were reading incredibly difficult texts but he made them so accessible without being reductive. He's the best professor I've had at NYU yet, if you have any chance to take a class with him you should!

1) He is so redundant that you really only have to show up for the 1st 20 min to get the main idea 2) you can get an A without actually reading if you show up to class 3) he's the COOLEST 4) rct. is a joke 5) Readings are awesome albeit German-focused 6) Papers are straightforward thinking IN SUMMARY: GET THIS CLASS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE

Comment:

Didn't expect to enjoy the class but Fleming made it interesting. He uses good material, explains it well, and makes it interesting. He does his best to make lectures fun. He really knows the material well. An easy class if you pay attention, takes notes, go to lecture. He makes things pretty clear, and the midterm/final are very straightforward.

Paul Fleming is the best! I love him! This class has taught me an incredible amount and is super engaging and fun. The class is laid out in a very clear, fair way. Highly recommend this Con West if you want to actually learn philosophy and have a great time doing it. (Also, Paul Fleming is adorable!)

Professor Fleming is amazing! You have to buy and read all of the books but he is really funny and makes lectures as fun as he can. Compared to what i have heard about other ConWest professors, he is the best. The tests and essays are fair and easy if you have ever been to class.

I loved this class! Prof F has the charisma of a young Derrida (in a good way). He's got the cutest buns!
