He taught the last third of the class which was about personal finance. You have to watch the lecture videos, take solid notes, and do the practice quizzes to pass the final exam. Its a lot of information to absorb (401k's, stocks, bonds, savings, mortgages, etc.), but it'll be useful for you in the future. I kept my notes and downloaded the videos

He was a really good professor overall. I learned a lot of great information, this class is actually very practical and helpful for your life. He gives random "pop quizzes" to force you to come to class, but you get 100% on it just for being there. If you pay attention to his lectures, the tests are very reasonable. I never used the textbook.

He's a fine teacher but his material is so boring. It was extremely hard for me to focus in class because he moves so fast. lots of quizzes and heavy test grades BUT he curves pretty well so you can usually escape the tests with a B.

An amazing prof. that really cares. There's 20 chapter quizzes (10 quest. each), 2 midterms, 1 final, & 2 pop quizzes. He also curves the midterms & the final so that the majority of the class will probably have an A or B. It says the textbook is required, but I never actually cracked it open; up to you. You will definitely learn with his lectures.

Gregg is a wonderful professor and explains course material well. The chapter quizzes and additional study questions he provides are all you need for this course. Very manageable class to pair with others that are more difficult.

In all honesty, his exams are weighted so heavily that all of the homework quizzes have no real impact on your grade. His lectures have nothing to do with what is on the exams, and he never gives straight answers when asked a question. He is very conceited but is very knowledgeable. Don't take the class. It is an elective and not an easy A.

Paul Gregg is wonderful. Sitting in his lectures is like listening to your kind old grandpa teach you valuable lie lessons. He's experienced and definitely knows what he's talking about. He cares about your grade and about you learning real world money management. Take his class, 2-3 pop quizzes but worth it to know valuable money lessons.

Great guy who really cares about the future of his students! Does have pop quizzes, but will get full credit if you show up. HW quizzes weekly. If you study you will pass, as well as gain important information for the real world.

So this class felt more like a seminar regarding your personal financial choices. I knew nothing about taxes or retirement or buying a house before this class but I now feel ready for adulthood. Tests are fine if you study and put in effort, I got 98% on all three exams. He does curve his tests. Overall, just an awesome class and awesome professor.

Very sweet man. He gives pop quizzes but as long as you show up you get a 100% on it. He cares about his students and he can be interesting to listen to. As long as you study the powerpoint you will pass. Weekly quizzes on each chapter. If you study you will do fine.

Not a finance major, but took his personal finance because it was highly recommended. Great choice! I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to become more financially literate- it's important information everyone should know, and he makes it very accessible.

I found this class fairly simple. If you do the additional questions and make sure to understand them you will be fine. To review for the midterms/final I just did the additional questions again. Do the homework quizzes and then find answer on quizlet because they impact your grade.

Really great teacher. Material is relatively difficult, but it's all important for your life ahead and Gregg is a former CFO (Chief Financial Officer) so he knows what he is talking about. Take this class!

Definitely take Professor Gregg's personal finance class before taking business finance! You learn a lot of material, but the information will be really useful in life. Plus if you take personal finance first, business finance will be so much easier and you'll already have an intro to the topics covered. Tests aren't super hard, but study lectures!

He's had many Finance related jobs and been at the top of major companies so he definitely knows what he's talking about. The class itself is so beneficial to you as an individual. There's a lot of material and some of it can be hard to grasp. He curves all the tests. Online homework quizzes every week & occasional pop quiz so go to class.

Great professor. Very knowledgable about his field. Curves grades so two thirds of the class gets an A or B. Has pop quizzes, but if you're present you get a 100 on it. Only homework is online quiz due every Sunday (answers are on quizlet). Midterms are easy, he curves them anyway. I would definitely recommend him, actually a useful course.
