The only bad thing about this guy is that he is REALLY boring. Like i was almost bored to sleep every class. You have a quiz every week but they are done in little groups so you do it with like 3 other people. Also the midterm and final are take home.

I showed up to the class a handfull of times, handed in work late, didn't write very good papers, and I still got an A. He is very accomodating and nice. He lets you out of class within an hour usually. A bit boring, but worth taking...

great guy, and he's not that boring.... in the begining he allowed us to take the quizzes in groups and grade ourselves.... which meant everyone got A's.... then in the last 2 weeks of the semester he started giving us quizzes without notice, and without answers and everyone was unprepared- it really killed your grade- midterms and finals were take

This guy can't correct papers. For the take home midterm my roomate and I handed in the same paper and gave us two different grades. I got 20 better then him. PJ didnt care that we did it together but he has no grade scale. Take this class if you want to lower your GPA. Basedow out.

He is only the NICEST man ever! He doesn't waste your time with mindless bull, he says what he has to say and won't keep you longer than is necessary. I felt like I left there having learned a lot and that doesn't happen often... defintely take him.

Spencer is an awesome professor! He is also a genuinely nice man. You can take the quizzes in groups, and the midterm and final are take home. If you are looking for a class that is not stressful, take soc 102 with Spencer!

His class is so boring! Everyone falls asleep, but he is a very cute old man. Gives take-home tests because he feels memorizing for a test is pointless. A lot of reading but no one does it; he just lectures and then usually lets the class out early.
