I was terrified in taking this class after reading his ratings from here, but I actually enjoyed the class. Lapides has a big personality, but he is very nice guy. Make sure you learn micromatic well and get in a good group and you should be ok. Tests are hard, but he knows that, so he curves the grades. This class can be hard, but you will learn!

Professor is very smart and pretty funny too! I took him online and I was stressing out the whole time. His test are insane. He gives a studyguide but DO NOT rely on it you have to study hard. The class is based on a simulation you must complete with a group and it counts half of your grade. Pick a reliable team!! Do not take this lightly if you do not do good on the simulation you will probably have to retake the class. You have to give a presentation on your simulated company so do a good job!

This class is a lot of work. Your success in this class is based on your group. You have to do the simulation with your group, as well as a business plan and annual report, which are about 20 pages each. You also have a presentation at the end but that wasn't hard. The two exams were more difficult than expected. Teacher is ok. I took it online.

I'm not going to tell you that you should not take this teacher. There is some work involved, but everything you do counts! Learn the simulation and honestly grasp it. If you have problems ask other students in class and work until you understand it. It is all about how the simulation pertains to real life. There is a lesson to be learned.

This was by far the most interesting class I've taken at KSU. Lapides shares his experiences and wisdom freely, much of which I will use. However, no real schedule is followed, much of his grading on projects seems to be solely based on whether or not he likes you and what your gender is. Engaging and funny, but practices favoritism.

Amazing professor, i went into the class the 1st few days thinking he was a crackpot, but he turned out to be one of the best professors i have had. He challenged me, which i liked. I learned more practically in this class than most of my other classes combined. Alot of group work, but it is very valuable stuff.

His 2 tests are hard but not impossible to do well. He allows cheat sheets but they are only helpful if you have been keeping up with you company simulation. He may occassionally seem rude when responding to a student but I don't think he does it intentionally. He actually was semi-considerate with some of the deadlines. THIS CLASS IS ALOT OF WORK.

Simulation is a waste of time.Professor is very rude when answering questions to students. If you want to learn something, I would recommend to take this class with another professor and not with Mr. Lapides.

one of the worst teachers i have had...i literally went to my 8 am class with him to watch him juggle for 20 mintues and then he dismissed the class. biggest waste of my time. he taught absolutely nothing which is why u can use notes on the exams, only good part of the course. class revolves around simulation and he is very unhelpful with anything

The small business simulation/"game" contributes to a lot of your grade. No memorization - write 2 pages of notes to use on exam days. He incorporates practical business advise, personal experiences, and a great sense of humor to lectures. Easy "A" if you spend time learning the game and it's fundamentals. This class and game was fun!!
