The worst professor I have ever had at Uvic. Not only can he not teach, he does not take his time to answer your questions, doesn't care about your success, gave us useless midterms from last year (all multiple choice) when this year's midterms turned out to be all written answers... Don't take his class! He is never willing to help you.

For such an interesting subject, Paul does an absolutely DISMAL job of teaching it. Actually, he doesn't do much of a job teaching it at all, but he sure marks to the point, even if the right answers AREN'T ON THE TEST. Marks off for going pee to. As you can't avoid him in the BCom program, it's a good thing this guy is on the way out.

All the negative comments on here are true. I cant believe they've kept him around this long. Unrealistic courseload with 4 other classes, and little concern for his students' success. Seems like he doesn't want to be here. Not good for Uvic B.Com's Rep!!!

I really enjoyed the case approach used to teach us Management Accounting. He has a great sense of humour and made us laugh during class. The material was very relevant and I will remember much of what I learned

I have no Idea how he grades. Check midterm for mistakes because he makes a lot when marking, I didn't notice some till final exam time. He didn't even show for the final so we couldn't ask q's. Do ALL reccomended q's from text! No cases though.

You might think this is an easy course from the lectures but its not. A 52% average on the midterm for the class. I recommend doing the suggested textbook questions because he has some of those questions on the midterm. He expects you to know way too much

Classes are no preparation for midterm (and probably not final)- very hard to see relationship between lecture content and what we're tested on. 53% average going into final is ridiculous for a 2nd year COMM class. At least he's enthusiastic though!
