Great Teacher and a great man. So many tragic things have happened to him in his life but he maintains such a positive outlook on life and faith. He tries passionately for every student to see the beauty in each piece we read. Very helpful and kind man.

I agree with many others who have commented--Dr. Nisly is very sweet. He's also very smart and you can tell he loves his work and subject matter. He was also the only professor I had who talked about what an English Major can actually DO in the world after graduating.

great guy, good teacher. class is easy and requires little work for an english class. only problem with my class was the students in it, who were either incompetant or were too scared to answer any questions or start any kind of discussion.

I never liked English Class until I had Dr. Nisly's Literature and Life of Faith class. It has helped me a lot with my Christian Faith and the class is very interesting. Dr. Nisly is a great teacher and really cares about his students. He's very polite.
