Very interesting and knowledgeable about the subjects he teaches. Did I forget passionate. Both classes I took with him were in the evenings after work, for him to keep me engaged and not fall asleep in a history class should tell you something. He really wants you to see history for what it's worth. Best professor at STLCC-Flo Valley.

Pretty cool dude. Easy grader and allows you to turn pretty much all your work in on the last day of class and he'll still give full credit. Gives study guides for exams and everything on the study guide is exactly on the test. You can tell he loves this subject and he wants everyone to pass this class. He does use the whole class period talking.

He is a good teacher that doesn't bother to go over a lecture as many times as student ask questions. He is a good teacher, father, and a great advicer. He works with you based on your level of understanding and able to bring you up to the class standard. Prof, keep it up.He made history of America an interesting lecture for me.Highly recomended

Paul is the best teacher I had at Flo Valley. I'm a lazy student and I was never very good with history classes but his lectures were fantastic. The lectures were entertaining and helped me solidify all the wierd history facts I had learned over time.

Dr Nygard is a gifted speaker; he is perhaps one of the best lecturers I have ever come across. Prof. Nygard is simply great. I felt I could sit in his lecture all day. He has tremendous knowledge of the subject, I took History of Modern Middle East with him. His lectures flow beautifully. The movies got a litle boring because it is more fun to hear him talk rather than look at the screen. Easy on assignments and grades. Love love love it.
