There were a lot of very long and boring lectures. The tests are pretty hard but they all come directly from the lecture material. He also gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, which is how I ended up with a grade over 100%. He also dropped the 5th exam for anyone with an A, so that's cool.

Professor Schneider is very knowledgeable about what he teaches but grades as an english professor. He deducted 10 points off of an entire paper for writing bible instead of Bible with no extra constructive criticism. You will need to watch hours worth of videos and he assigns papers with 1 to 2 days notice. Youve been warned.

To be very clear and also as kind as possible: he sucks. His views in the class are very obvious and doesnt seem to hide how he feels about certain students versus other students. Worst experience Ive ever had with a scholar in a higher level education institution, such as USF. A shame that a man such as one of his character, still holds a job.

DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! All his answers are online and you can easily pass but you cannot miss a turn in day or your grade will suffer. He post assignments that are due literally the following day with no notification or anything and it is absolutely ridiculous at times. You can pass this class easliy, just prpepare to stare at CANVAS every day.

The class got 10000 times easier once I realized all the answers for tests and quizzes were online... you're welcome! the only reason the videos are useful is to write the one thought papers, which if you just put effort into you'll get a 100. He offers so much extra credit too, its impossible not to get an A.

This class is not impossible to pass but it definitely requires a lot of patience and time. The course is extremely lecture heavy and his quizzes are very specific to the lectures. A lot of time needs to be put aside to listen to his long Powerpoint videos. (Hinduism has 2 videos that are 2 hours each) Four Exams given, review quiz short deadlines

He is a super nice person and his class isn't difficult, but the hardest part is his so long and boring powerpoint video lectures. Theyre hours long and its so hard to listen to, i would rather just read all of this in a text then take the quiz on the text. IF you do listen to the videos though then you pass easily, so i guess it was an okay class

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Complete waste of money and time. Professor forces you to buy the book he wrote and access to a website that is trash. On this website he uploads lectures that are hours long. His voice is monotone, slow, and makes me want to jump off a building. Cannot stand the class or the teacher. Stay away.

Don't take his class online. I don't know how he is in person but online it is 100% boring monotone lectures that I could barely bring myself to listen to. However, if you don't subject yourself to his torturous lectures, you will do awful because his tests are 100% lecture based. He also springs due dates on you out of nowhere. Never again.

Very easy A if you (1) watch the lectures (yes, they are long and boring); (2) participate in optional conferences; (3) take all review quizzes and extra credit quizzes; (4) follow his instructions for papers. Lots of extra credit opportunity if you do the work, and Dr. Schneider is very personable. Some test questions do come from textbook.

I highly recommend Dr. Schneider if you need to take a Religion course. The Summer class was heavy on content. However, Dr. Schneider has a great system to make it easier to study for this class. He uses video classes with PowerPoint presentations, flash cards, vocabularies, and several quizzes that help you learn and earn extra credit.

I took his REL 2300 class online, and he seems to spring due dates on you. He would give us a couple of hours notice whenever something was due later that night, he would only give us about 25 minutes to answer 40 questions , and he has a lot of meaningless assignments. Wouldn't recommend taking his class.

Get ready to listen to multiple hours of lectures per section. His videos are informative, but he tends to go extremely in depth on material not included on the test. If possible, find another professor.

Spare yourself the sound of his droning voice for 3+ hours for each PP lecture. And yes, in order to pass the tests, unfortunately you have to listen to them. Worst mistake of my first summer session EVER.

So, this professor has been unfairly criticized. I just finished his REL 2300, and received a 97%. The globalization paper is in question response format. Each exam is based solely on lecture, and are usually really easy. All go the questions are true false, or multiple choice, and are on facts that he emphasizes on. He summerizes each chapter @en

Schneider is very well experienced. You have to buy access to his website & it has online readings, videos of his ppt slides, and the online tests and quizzes. After he teaches a religion, he asks for a brief paper about what you learned. His class isn't always the most exciting but you'll definitely do ok if you attend class and pay attention.

I have to say that most of these reviews are wrong. He is a great teacher. Fun fact - he graduated from Columbia with a Ph.D, then Harvard with a masters, then FSU with a masters. Every lecture is in canvas (power points and his actual voice lecture) he gives free 100s for simply passing practice quizzes with 70s and above. Great teacher. Interact.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. He is so unpractical grade wise and expects you to answer each test question in 45 seconds or less. He gives you no study guides and the pre tests do not help AT ALL. Barely passed this class.

TERRIBLE. teaching method is not practical. He records videos with power points while he babbles on for 2+hrs. The online test are 75% of grade. Questions are subjective & answers are specific fill in the blanks from his long videos. Gives vague directions and grades critically. He takes what should be a fun class and treats it like rocket science

Had to watch video lectures that were about 3 hours long per week. Then on top of that had to read from the book, which took a good 1-2 hours. The quizzes were difficult because he would want 1 specific answer that you had to type in. "Fill in the blank", but if it was a letter off or a different term that meant the same thing, it would be wrong.
