Paul is awesome. Acct can be a pretty dry subject, but Paul keeps the lectures interesting with stories and humor. He is very clear with explanations and presents difficult concepts in an understandable manner. This class can get difficult and Paul does usually have tricky multiple choice options, but if you know the concepts well you'll be fine.

Paul White is an amazing professor. Accounting in Carlson is very professor dependent, and I really like how Paul structures his class. He doesn't do the online coursework and there's no final. Instead, there's quizzes and in-class work. I feel like this format really helped me learn. Make sure to get Paul!

He's still one of the best professors at Carlson. Any time you need any ACCT course be sure to look for him right away. Really knowledgeable about accounting, but will apply the concepts to the real world too.

Paul is one of the best teachers in Carlson. He makes the 1:40 lecture interesting and explains things very well. The class is set up so that you get good practice with the material and feeback on that practice.

Paul is a gem. He is really funny during lecture, but also really tries to hit the basics and make accounting less dry than it is. There are 3 midterms (pretty challenging) so make sure to stay up on the optional problems he assigns. He also has 5 quizzes that you need to understand concepts to do well. Work hard and you will be just fine!

DO NOT look up answers for this class. Some kids got in trouble last semester for doing so. The book is old, so you might find things online, but he can tell pretty easily. I think most people get the median in this class unless you participate very often. Go to class and LISTEN TO HIM because he has great experience. He is also a GREAT guy!

all multiple choices, and I get grades higher than I thought, my friends told me it's not easy to get an A in his lecture. after my first two midterms and 4 quizes, I am still B+, but after final, I got an A at the end, I guess he curved my grade up via participating points, this is very important to get a high grade in this class as well.

Show up to lectures and pay attention and you will be fine. He structures his class so you dont have to read the textbook. Do the homework to study for quizzes and exams. All quizzes and exams are only multiple choice. He makes boring topics bearable.

Paul is pretty funny and keeps class interesting. He is an amazing prof for accounting majors. He incorporates lots of helpful advice from his time as an accountant. Homework is not due so it can be hard to keep up, but make sure you do, because once you get behind it's difficult to catch up again.

Paul White is easily the best professor I've had so far at Carlson. He truly cares about his students and what they learn despite his sarcastic tones about not caring. He is hilarious and always cracks jokes or tells stories to keep the monotone nature of an accounting class interesting. Would take again!

Paul is one of the best professors I have had while in Carlson. The whole 5201 class is based off of real life case studies. There is a fair amount of group work every week but grades are mostly based on completion. He always takes the time to explain any trouble areas for the class and makes every class fun.

Paul White is definitely the best professor for ACCT 2050. Very funny, nice and well-respected guy. The class is really hard and boring but he makes it as enjoyable as it can be. Likes to tell jokes and stories to keep things interesting, but is good about staying on track. Be prepared to study your butt off.

Paul White is easily the best professor I have had at Minnesota so far. Clear on grading requirements, makes the most boring parts of accounting bearable and easy to learn. Highly recommend for accounting so much so that I will take any accounting class with him that I can.

Best class I've taken at Carlson. You need to participate in class, which cases problems for some accounting students who don't want to talk.

Paul is a great lecturer and makes the class fun, but his tests and quizzes are very specific and have material that has not been taught in class on them. He also claims things will be on the test and they are not. You also need to know exact definitions for the multiple choice parts.

Paul White is the G.O.A.T. His class is of course really boring but the guy himself is hilarious while also taking his job and ethical matters very seriously. In the Honors version, basically everyone gets an A- from him (hard to get an A or a B+). If you are in accounting, make sure to take Paul White.

A genuinely nice guy in and out of the classroom. Truly respects his students and wants you to do well in the class. At the end of the class he will Facebook friend you because he really cares to see you do well in life and wants to keep updated on how his students are doing. Class is pretty hard but he is great at explaining the material.
