I had her for English 1101 and she was awesome! i loved her class. Even though i had taken AP language in high school, so i knew what to expect, the class was still relatively challenging. There were 4 papers and a presentation, but they were all spaced out so as not to get us all stressed out.

Took her and loved her in 1101 so I took her in 1102 this semester. She is very understanding and laid back. I would recommend her to anyone for English

Dr. Mellom is a good professor. I had her for 1101 and 1102 and enjoyed both classes. She is very lively and makes the discussions fun. Dr. Mellom does assign a lot of papers, but she is willing to help. Also, do the readings because the quizzes can impact your grade. But overall, Dr. Mellom is awesome. Highly recommended.

Greatest English professor ever...Love her class discusions!!! and she is awsome as a person too. I would take Mellom's Class any day! (speaks PERFECT Spanish for those of us latinos who struggle at times)

I had an overall great experience with DR. Mellom. Although she can sometimes go on tangents about politics that I do not necessarily agree with. Yet, she loves group discussions and hearing everyones point of view, which i respect. As far academics go, she can grade papers pretty tough. But she is always there if you need her to ask questions.

Mellom's really nice, but her VERY lenient attitude towards class might put people off. I'd recommend her only for the dedicated. But she's very interesting and a good teacher. She is also VERY approachable, she often helped me after class and would meet with me if I had problems with my projects.
