Paula is one of the best Profs in Mo-Town. She cares about her students more than just about anyone else and I suppose that can come off as playing favorites. Really, though, it's about helping you as much as possible. You'll read a book a week, but no other poli sci prof prepares you for grad school like paula!

Paula is very smart and knows the material inside and out. She plays favorites, but it's not difficult to become one of them, so long as you aren't a complete moron. Her teaching style is difficult to comprehend. It's difficult to take notes, and she never made it clear what she was looking for on the tests until you got them back. C+/B- teacher.

Paula is a very knowledgeable, personable professor. It may seem like she plays favorites, but you definitely get out of the class what you put in. She recognizes hard work and helps those truly interested to learn more deeply. Makes class fun, and gets familiar with students.

Each class is nothing more than rambling through the required readings. She prides herself on falling behind in the syllabus. She does know her topic, but cannot transfer it onto her students; the hallmark of a bad professor. An unacademic obsession with arrows.

Very smart and knows her stuff. She plays favorites though. If she likes you she will do anything for you and can teach you a lot. If not, you can still get a good grade, but you won't get any special help or exceptions like the ones she's friends with.

What others said about Paula is definitely true. She plays favorites and if for whatever reason she choses not to like you, she will certainly not try to conceal it. As to her teaching style, it is completely unprofessional. She starts out the class by talking about unrelated things and often sound unprepared.

Paula is an ok professor in terms of her classes at best. There is nothing all that special about the way she teaches classes. I would recommend taking classes from the other poli sci profs. Paula plays an extreme case of favorites and that games is extended even outside the classroom. If she doesn't like you, your reputation may suffer.

Very good professor. Knows her stuff. Upper level classes are great because they are discussion based. Gives lots of readings and assigns hard tests, but is a fair grader who will make a person a better student.

I disliked the class and the professor with a passion. She plays favorites, and holds personal grudges. I hope to never take another class with her again. She does not engage any of the class unless you're jumping up and down to get her attention.

She empowers her students to fulfill their own potentials and expectations. On True/False questions, it's not uncommon that all the answers be false or true. I really liked how she structured the class and I loved the projects she gave us. You get out of the class what you put into it.

She's an AWESOME professor!!! I can't say enough good things about her. She's very helpful and doesn't mind talking to you at anytime (when she's not busy of course). She loves her Diet Pepsi! She's also not a hard grader, especially on papers. As long as the content is there, you'll do fine!
