Comment:
Cuperman is certainly not for everyone. His class does not have a definite structure (he doesn't follow a syllabus), but instead is a discussion-heavy class. While many think the class is boring, that depends on the effort and participation of you and your peers. Participate, be memorable, think outside the box, write well and you'll do great!

Comment:
He the sweetest teacher, he cares about his students and makes the class appropriate for those who master spanish and those who don't by pairing them so in presentations they can support each other. He is very smart and wise but easy to follow. H encourages outside the box thinking and participation is a must.

Ladies take this class for an easy A if you are willing to tolerate his stares. Seriously, your grade will depend on how good you look and how much you are willing to talk to him. Guys, don't even think about taking his class... He will shut you down. I got an A on every single paper with minimum effort.

Comment:
Obscure, abstract class. Since it's disorganized and ends up in you doing a lot of presentations, it'll stress you out. But it can be interesting, because his thinking is so out of the box. To do well, you have to be memorable. To do this you have to participate a lot and be creative. The rest is up to him. Who knows?

Incisive, quite daring intellectually, I credit him with showing me how to think. If he read this he would probably make sure to tick off a date in cypher to turn over in his grave. Sometime in the future!

Very arrogant. Sometimes engaging sometimes enthralled with himself and therefore boring. Will listen to you/assist you as long as you are an adolescent attractive female. Male or older female ... not so much.

Read about his first wife's book on latimes.com. Apparently, he likes young, 'unformed' Latina women. Beware!

Pedro Cuperman may be one of the best teachers in Syracuse University. He is elegant and has an incredible intellect. You can ask him about anything and he will probably knows the answer. When he talks it seems as he is reciting a poem because of the passion he uses in his speech. I would deeply recommend taking his class.

Altogether too out there and abstract for many students. If you love to read and ponder books, in Spanish, you may enjoy this class. Cuperman is ingenious, full of bombast and high-flown theory and discourse on any subject. He is fascinating. Attend class, pay attention, regurgitate, BS, and do well.

He's crazy snd smart but his classes won't improve your skill with or understanding of spanish. He basically makes your grades up, and has definite favorites. You don't need to read any of the book, if you go to class and remember what he has to say you'll be all set.

This guy is a ****, but not the greatest teacher I've had. He's too out there to give any structure, but it was still an enjoyable class

Comment:
Cuperman is rude, disrespectful, and quite condescending. He has an obvious prejudice against female students, especially if they are American. He is painfully abstract, and talks in circles, never getting to any point.
