Professor Sutton is very intelligent, and some times lectures will fly over your head. Just smile and nod and participate occasionally. Majority of the overall grade is comprised of papers and short response essays, so be sure to read the books and pay attention in class. However, Sutton isn't a very tough grader (she doesn't believe in grades)

If you care about Education then you will enjoy this class. You can slide by without doing all of the readings except for when it comes to the papers. As long as you put in effort on your papers and back up your arguments with the readings and notes from class you should be fine.

i never read any of the material and ended up with a b+ anyway. was my only morning class so i was never awake in it but overall she is nice and doesn't abuse giving out too much homework at all

Very fair teacher; interesting class. She does NOT make it a political class, and she does NOT play favorites with grades. If she did that, I'd have a lower grade than what I got. Go to all classes, read the materials (or as much as you can), and pay attention. BACK UP ARGUMENTS OR OPINIONS ON PAPERS WITH FACTS AND SOURCES! She grades very fairly.

Peg is a wonderful teacher but is extremely challenging.I have to admit that she is very political.However, if you write your paper, give it a lot of thought, and back up your arguments, she will grade accordingly.Fair, intriguing... Better at grad level

I would not recommend her, but she isnt that bad. I got an A and didnt do the reading, mostly cuz I said what she wanted to hear on the homework. She is predictable, just dont get on her bad side by disagreeing with her.

This professor is extremely ideological, like the other reviewer said. You'll do okay if you dont like critical thinking and are happy regurgitating the opinions of the professor. Otherwise, avoid her.

Take her class only if you are willing to agree with everything she says. She politicizes education classes, and that makes them unpleasant. She is an angry a lot in class. There are other Teachers who teach this class so it is easy to avoid her.
