Favorite professor I've ever had! 3 tests (1st- 25%, 2nd & 3rd- 30%), 1 paper (15%). Super sweet and caring professor. Attendance is not mandatory but you will have a much easier time on the tests if you show up to class. She always makes class super interesting. Answers any and all questions!

I had no problems with this professor until the end of the semester. She will do anything to make sure you don't miss class. Overall the tests are straight forward and there's only one research paper so not too bad. But, don't take this class unless you want to be treated like a high school student. She likes things to go her way or not at all.

Professor Leisring was a great professor this semester. She is kind and smiles at all of her students and is very easy to talk to. Her tests are straightforward on the material we discuss in class, there really aren't any tricks. Her paper assignment is interesting. Only negative is she's a little too 'set it her ways'. Wish she was more flexible.

Testing was unpredictable/inconsistent. Tends to blame students rather than herself for shortcomings/errors/poor grades. Does not bend with deadlines, even if you have a doctor's note. Gives study guides that are detailed. Hasn't taught the class in many years - it shows.

Professor Leisring is a very good professor. Her power points and lectures are very clear cut and she is always open to questions. She offers many extra credit opportunities. Not always an understanding professor when things come up that are out of your control. Takes her job seriously. Otherwise, very interesting class and insanely nice woman

She's actually a great teacher. If you pay attention to her lectures and take notes you will do just fine in her class. There are three tests and one paper on a book you read. If you pay attention in class and put some time into studying you can easily ace the tests. She's very passionate and knows her stuff. GREAT class for psych majors.

Prof. Leisring is so sweet and she really makes an effort to be there for her students. Workload was fairly manageable but you definitely need to read the textbook before tests in order to do well. This class was genuinely interesting for me but I'm a psychology major so if you aren't you might feel otherwise.

She's a very nice and friendly person. But she is a tough grader. She has 3 exams that are worth 15%, research paper worth 20%, midterm, and final. She rarely gives extra credit and if she does then it's worth 1 point. It just sucks that one assignment can jeopardize your overall grade. If you can manage the work then hey go for it.

Had her for thesis. Overall okay professor. She's prob a bit of a tough grader compared to most professors but nothing unbearable. She'll help if you ask for it but you must make the initiative first. I would prob take her again. For anyone taking thesis, compare your options for prof's. Leisring is prob not a bad choice.

she's a really sweet lady & she really ares about her students, but this class is so incredibly boring. i dread going every week, but it really isn't her fault. i honestly think qu101 in general is a waste of time. i would like to take one of her psych classes, just qu101 is horrible

I'm taking her for QU101 right now. She's SO nice and seems to have a genuine interest in her students and what's happening on campus. QU101 is all discussions on the readings and 3 papers (in APA format, which is the only annoying thing about them). I REALLY want to take one of her psych classes!!

Worst professor I've ever had. Don't take Leisring unless you want to inevitably bring your GPA down. She's way too strict of a grader.

Taking Leisring was a huge mistake, I like all of my profs. EXCEPT for Leisring. Avoid taking her at all costs, because she will permanently RUIN your GPA. She gives D's and F's on perfectly good essays for the stupidest reasons, like not providing enough spacing on the bibliography. Never in my life have I recieved a D or an F on an essay.Avoidher
