He is not the most personable professor out there. He is helpful though and often extends dealines for papers without any requests from the students. He's pretty tough on participation and makes students lead seminar.

This class was about pirates so I thought it would be really interesting but it's not. Some of the articles are really dry legal documents and we read so many articles about the same things that it just got really repetitive. Besides participation, students had to lead two seminars. The class focuses more on the laws of nations than on pirates.

Prof Perrone is a biased unpersonable person and His crude attitude makes your life miserable when you have class early in the morning. DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. you will be sorry. save yourself the trouble and take a class with someone who does not falsely accuse students of negative things they didnt do. hard to understand not interesting

Requires you to do the readings and participate. Lectures are dry but very thorough. Take good notes and you will do well on the tests. He is very accomodating and will extend due dates for the papers if he can tell that the class needs more time to complete them.

He makes the subject interesting but if you need help, ask. He joked about never being visited during his office hours, suggesting some should. Put the work into it or do not complain about this teacher. I did not read the text or study really hard. I think I got a C but I do not care about the grade. I retained a lot about Latin Ame. history!

Passionate for the subject, however he is one of the hardest teachers one will ever encounter. He has not much of a personality but does recognize when students make the effort. He means well, however, his grading on papers and eye for detail will bring any A paper down to a C-. My advice: switch classes unless you want a stressful first year.

This guy is awful. How do you give somebody a .67 when he shows up to class and hands in every assignment. I wrote some of my best essays for him and didnt recieve higher than a C. He is biased and unfair. Very diffacult to communicate with. He is an acedemic elitist who doesnt think any piece of work is acceptable or good enough. DONT TAKE HIM!

I've had Perrone for many classes and he get a worse break than he deserves. He may not be the most engaging prof. on campus but he gives perfect notes that when studied lead to wicked easy A's. Also this guy murdered me on essays but when I went for help he spent hours teaching me how to write and now I get A's on all my papers instead of C's.
